This started today for me, suddenly the app plays an obnoxiously loud notification sound effect on various touches in the app. I spent about two hours looking for a solution before I gave up. I decided Im only using discord in the browser now where it behaves better than the app.

I made sure all my haptic and touch sound related system settings were off (OnePlus 13). i put all volumes down to zero. The only thing that worked was putting the phone in silent mode. I could mute everything on my entire phone other than the discord app sound on just about every touch in the app. Nothing could even dull it. Cleared cache, reinstalled the app, restarted my phone, fiddled with everything.

I used the discord app for a year in this phone now without ever encountering anything like this. Is it just me, am I crazy? Anyway, the browser is awkward in many ways but in some ways actually works better than the app since it can't forcibly override system settings in ways the ruin the experience here.
