Best extras and is a meal plan worth it?

Which extras did you book and why? Which ones are worth it?

What about a meal plan? Was this worthwhile? We are restaurant and foodie lovers and part of the reason for going is to experience the characters and settings.

Not too worried about cost but don’t want to spend if it’s not worth it.

Also any tips that saved you stress on arrival/departure or just through the day?

Cheers!

Rough Collie Book Recommendations? 📚 🐕

I’ve got one book about the Rough Collie but it’s pretty basic.

Nothing in there about grooming in depth, or anything in depth about their herding instinct and how to train pups out of it.

Any recommendations?

Is this a universal non-binary thing or is it just me?

Just a few thoughts I’ve had lately. I have always flip flopped around with how I dress - was called a Tomboy in the 90’s.

As a kid I hated being girly or dresses. Just wanted to be a boy. I grew up reading Enid Blyton’s Famous Five series - the main character was a girl called Georgina who hated being called a girl and much preferred being called George. And something in me went: yep.

I later went through a HYPER girly pink phase in my 20’s… and now I think I’ve gone back to ‘Tomboy’ (whatever that is - apologies if these days if the terminology exists but I don’t know what it is).

Every so often I feel like I hate being a woman. I don’t care about looking like a woman it’s more how society treats women that sucks. And of course all the monthly stuff we have to put up with.

Don’t get me wrong, I have ZERO desire to change things and be a man. I know that much.

But equally I don’t really want to be a woman. Kinda hate it tbh. Realised I’ve hated it more since getting older and having to be parent. The expectations put on women to be the perfect mama, the perfect wife, and have the perfect career… and yet still be faced with discrimination in the workplace but yeah, sure, you can “have it all”… urgh.

Just makes me want to quit womanhood. I did not sign up for this.

I just feel like am just me, a brain inside a meat suit, and that meat suit put me in a box that if I had a choice I’d probably opt out of because of society’s crazy expectations for women.

And I just don’t know… is this a total feminist rant or is it an experience that non-binary people have too?

Gentlest rides?

Which rides are the gentlest ones? Cannot stand things that go upside down, roller coasters, or things that spin fast.

Can stand some drops if they aren’t too extreme (like a log flume) but looking for things that are gentle.

Recommendations please!

Rough Collie or Labrador?

Wanting to get my first puppy (not first dog - I’ve always adopted from adult age).

I’ve had the following breeds before: Labrador, greyhound, Jack Russell, and cocker spaniel.

Current dog is a working line Labrador with good KC lines, came into our lives age 7. We do tonnes of training and love her to bits. She needs about 1-2hrs daily walking and ‘working’ at her obedience training.

But I’ve admired the Rough Collie for some time since I read they are intelligent and need less exercise than my working line labrador.

I’ve thought about a show line labrador but I’m not sure how that would compare with the Rough Collie or even my working line labrador since she is so intense!

I’d just love some advice from Rough Collie owners who have also had labs who can tell me how they compare.

For context - the ideal dog would be quick to train, love ‘working’ on obedience, but perhaps not need 2hrs of it daily. Would be interested to try agility training and therapy work. Does the Rough Collie measure up?
