I was wondering what’s the best thing I could invest in to make silver using a level 3 island in bridgewatch?

How do I figure out if crafting is cheaper or more expensive than buying the item itself.
I’m trying to get into crafting potions because I always use them.
Smth like healing potions, gigantify potions, calming potions, invisibility potions. Do I look at the ingredients and calculate the EMVs to figure out if it’s worth to craft or buy?
And should I calculate the price of actually unlocking the crafting recipes on T6,7 and 8?
If I could make silver along the way that would be nice as well.

What is the best progressing method without getting burned out or bored?
Excuse my rotted brain but we could work out an answer somehow.

I’ve tried gathering, but it’s way too slow tbh.
Tried going to black zones but they require much more experience and specked builds.
Refining and crafting also require experience and market check ups.
I’ve watched YouTube for several days but still confused and can’t have fun with any of these progressing ways.
The only fun I’ve had in this game was with friends playing generally for socializing and having fun without judging. We did Ava dungeons, PvP, arena and other stuff.
Sadly, they don’t play much any more.

I’m asking genuinely. Which way should I focus on mainly to progress in this game in the shortest time in order to speck my favorite class or weapon and speck gathering professions?
Feels like you have to play with op classes first then play your favorite, correct me if I’m wrong.
(My favorites are generally fast paced and dashing weapons)
Any series on YouTube? If I search by my self, I totally get disoriented by the sheer amount of content tbh.
The ultimate goal is to play with a huge guild and do content with them I guess. But also to be able to have solo fun sometimes.
And, are there anyways making money in this game while afk?
