I'm curious. What were the grades of your euploid vs. aneuploid embryos?

If you feel comfortable, please share your age and number of egg retrievals & transfers. I'm 40. I had 3 egg retrievals:

  1. Day 5: 3AB, 6BB, 3B-B & Day 6: 2BB (All aneuploid)

  2. Day 6: 6BB (aneuploid)

  3. Day 5: 4BA, 2B-B- & Day 6: 4AB (not tested/banking)

Sending good vibes to everyone here 🫶

No euploids yet? How many retrievals have you done?

Hi everyone,

For those who have not yet found a euploid. How many egg retrievals have you completed so far?

If you're comfortable sharing, I'd love to know your age during the retrievals and how many total eggs and blasts you've made.

Sending so much love to everyone. Thank you in advance for sharing your numbers and stories.

Feeling unsure about moving to ICSI after our 2nd retrieval fertilization rate dropped to 42%. Experiences?

We recently finished our second egg retrieval, and we’re feeling pretty gutted and confused by the results.

Our first retrieval felt like a huge success in terms of fertilization. We had a 75% fertilization rate using conventional IVF. Because of that, we went into this second round feeling pretty optimistic. But when we got the numbers back, our fertilization rate was only 42%. Same clinic, different protocol (increased Menopur dose), but drastically different results.

Because of this sudden drop, our doctor is strongly recommending that we switch to ICSI for our next round. Mainly to help guarantee better fertilization.

We are feeling unsure about making the jump to ICSI especially because our first round went so well conventionally.

I would love to hear any stories, advice, or experiences you all have. Thank you so much!

PGT: Banking multiple embryos before testing or testing as you go. What’s your approach?

Hi everyone! I’m currently navigating PGT testing and I am wondering how others are approaching the process. Are you banking embryos and testing them all at once, or are you testing as you go? For those of you further along, looking back, do you feel like you made the right call for your specific situation? Thank you for reading ❤️

Sending off my one and only blast for PGT-A testing. Anyone else sent just one embryo?

Hey everyone! My second retrieval at 40 resulted in 1 blast. It was a Day 6, 6BB. I'm in that super stressful wait for PGT-A results right now. Has anyone else just sent off one embryo for testing? I'd love to hear what happened for you, whether it was euploid, mosaic, or aneuploid. Thanks for reading.

I'm 40 and just finished my 2nd retrieval. My first one gave me 0 good embryos out of 4 blasts. For this second one, I only have 1 blast and I'm waiting to hear back about the genetic testing. Curious to hear about others' experiences 🤞🌈 thank you for reading!

I’m 40 + 3m. I'm looking for some insight into the results of my recent retrieval. I'm wondering whether a change in protocol might have backfired. My Stats: AMH: 2.3, AFC: 14, Sperm DNA Frag: Normal

First retrieval (age 40 + 1m) Protocol: Menopur 75 / Follistim 350. Results: 9 retrieved, 8 mature, 6 fertilized normally, 4 blasts (3 Day 5 and 1 Day 6). All 4 were aneuploid.

Second retrieval (age 40 + 3m) Protocol: Increased Menopur to 150 / Follistim 350.Results: 10 retrieved, 7 mature, 3 fertilized normally (2PN), but 3 were 3PN (abnormally fertilized). 2 fertilized embryos arrested on day 2. Only 1 made it to blastocyst (Day 6, 6BB). Waiting for PGT-A results.

I’m feeling pretty frustrated. While we got more eggs, our fertilization and blast rate tanked. I went from 66% blast rate to basically 14%. The 3PN result is new for me...I didn’t have any in Round 1. Is there an increase in abnormal fertilization when their Menopur dose was increased? I'm wondering if the higher Menopur stressed the eggs. Any and all thoughts and experiences welcomed. Thank you for reading!
