What’s the silhouette for fall?

I’m 39, so l think l still gravitate towards creating a single silhouette “formula” in my mind- 2010s were very tight pant, long top for me. l’ve moved on to high waisted wide leg pant plus form-fitting or slightly cropped loose top. However l’m wondering if that’s going pretty stale now too. Any chance the new one is going to be midrise baggy and form fitting longer top?

What’s going to be on trend?

I love Midwest lake town life... except for winter. Get me out!

I live in a small 1200 person northern Midwest lake town on a Great lake. It is absolutely amazing in many ways- very safe, walkable to the beach, great community, good schools, party atmosphere in the summer, small ski resorts nearby, hills, other lakes, sandy beaches, quiet roads, low crime... but the 8 months of solidly grey skies just destroy me every year.

I don't ever need to see snow again but I don't love months of 90+. I love the sun, walkability, and the water most of all. My husband and I have remote jobs and young children- we'd need decent public schools. We'd also need a house of $650,000 or less. I prefer an area that is walkable, under 40,000 people (heck, preferably under 10,000...), safe, near water and natural beauty (we're avid hikers, bikers, kayakers, paddleboarders). I found coastal North Carolina pretty boring (so flat! so few trails!). I loved northern Florida oddly enough but haven't ever tried to survive the summers there. Southern California was fun as a young person, but I worry about cost, crime, pollution. Colorado didn't have enough water.

Anywhere I can just live under the SUN??

At home, I like to do Caroline Girvan's workouts because I need a visual of what I'm doing. At the gym, I'd like to start using all the machines (and weights too) but I have no idea what to do, on what days. I want to be losing a little weight and increasing muscle, particularly glutes and abs. Ideally, I'd like a page that has visuals of the machines (ha, so I know what I'm looking for!) and a suggested weight to start/number of reps. There would be different pages for different days. I'm willing to pay for such a thing- are there any reputable programs that provide this sort of thing? Thanks!

A shockingly enjoyable book that I haven't seen recommended on here! Let's see- standalone, steam 1/5, loosely inspired by Japanese Mythology. FMC is a shape changing demon creature, MMC is a demon hunter- he captures her and sends her to Hell but gets towed along himself and they have to team up. She actively dreams of eating him at the start of the book (ick) and eats people (regularly). I thought I'd be too disgusted to enjoy it, but it was actually rather sweet. It was a little short (I thought) but immediately captured me. Prose is solid and not purple-y.
