Hi! We are coming to the area for a concert at MSG next week. I’m from upstate NY and have only been to NYC maybe half a dozen times. We need a cheap (but clean!) place to stay for the night after the concert. Friends recommend staying in Jersey City and taking the train in for the show. So, basically, any advice would be appreciated. Is this a good plan, would you recommend a place to stay, how much time ahead of the show should we allow for the trip in to the city? Thank you!

First, I need to say how amazing the show was, and how lucky I felt to have been able to go with my 18 year old son who has incredible taste in music just like his mom! Gossett, Lord Huron and Mumford and Sons were all phenomenal, and the rain held off until just after the show!
But, the beautiful memories that we made are darkened by the 2 pieces of garbage (females) that sat behind us in Section A and stole our merch and my personal sweatshirt. What trash and garbage you are. My kid and I saved money and work our asses off to be able to go to a concert like this, and you ruin it by taking things that would bring us joy for years to come. These lowlifes took over $200 worth of T-Shirts and ran away like babies when I confronted them. Enjoy your stolen goods.
