What if TVK did this?

Why not let other parties support TVK from the outside?

If Vijay is truly a "clean alternative" in politics, wouldn't it have been better for him to ask other parties to support his government from the outside instead of forming alliances?

Why outside support could be better:

- Other parties can hold his government accountable.

- If governance is poor, they can withdraw support.

- The constant risk of losing support would encourage performance-focused politics rather than personality-driven politics.

- It avoids the compromises and power-sharing that come with alliances.

A stronger message could have been:

"I won't form alliances. If other parties believe my government is good for Tamil Nadu, they can support it from the outside. If I fail, they should withdraw that support."

Even if such a government depended on DMK or ADMK support, wouldn't Tamil Nadu benefit from a government that is constantly being held accountable?

What am I missing? The biggest counterargument I can think of is that outside support may create political instability. But isn't that a reasonable trade-off if the goal is genuinely to build a new political culture?

I want the argument to be really healthy and constructive. Please share your opinions unbiased.

Will we as a people ever revive good politics again?

Whenever there is a genuine concern about the current government, people say that you are the route mafia. If the question is targeted to DMK/ADMK, the response is PEN mafia. At this point we know that these two mafia are trying to drive neutral people to their respective factions. But, as a common man/woman, we don't need this BS and we don't deserve this. If there is an issue with the power cut, the minister or TVK responds that DMK people stole the fuse. Okay, will that response actually get us the power back running? No. The same can be said for the previous government too. They blamed ADMK and ADMK to DMK.

This may be a rant or crash out. There are so many subs which I initially thought that they are debating politics in a constructive way but when I start to observe closely, the topic/discussion is diluted with Trisha memes, AI memes on Stalin or Udhay. Who cares about Trisha or these AI memes? For god sake, I'm not active on Instagram. I cannot imagine the brain dump that I would have to take with this BS. I preferred reddit because we don't get the information as quickly as insta/YT gives us. We need to invest time to read and understand a thread. Don't even get me started about News channels. Holy crap, they just suck anything for TRP. What are the countermeasures as a citizen of India and Tamilnadu should take to fix this problem? Should we just ignore social media? News channels are biased too. Do we need another platform that approaches politics from a very different angle?
