Update on questionable starter. I couldn’t edit original post so had to start a new one.

Starter eight hours post feed and receding. The questionable ( dark spot) is almost gone. Should I toss or keep. Thanks in advance and sorry I couldn’t figure out how to update original post. Pictures 1&2 originally question/post. 3&4 updated pictures.

Is this ok? Why is this area darker?

Fed five hours ago. I see a darker area in the center that I don’t understand. Any idea what is causing it and if it’s safe to use?

Question about potting size?

I’ve read conflicting advice about what size pot to plant clematis. One theory is to stay smaller and graduate larger as needed to avoid overwatering. The second is to pot large as the clematis has a large root system…..
So which is the better option?
It goes without saying one would consider the variety and projected size at maturity.
Thanks clematis growers for the info 😃

What’s going on?

New to Japanese Maples when I purchased this tree about 2 months ago. I can’t figure out if it has a pest problem or some other issue. Zone 9 A Florida, shady porch, terracotta pot.
Thanks for sharing advice and expertise!

Where are you storing Thuricide BT? Apparently it’s heat sensitive.

Currently treating tomato plants with BT and just saw that if it’s stored anywhere above 90 degrees F it becomes ineffective. I keep mine in the garage with all my other gardening “stuff” and can’t imagine storing it in my house. I’m wondering where everyone else is storing theirs?

When do you give up on a young/new clematis?

Newbie here 👋
Just starting my journey growing clematis. I’m a decent gardener and rarely loose a plant. Two of the 8 plants I’ve received came with the leaves looking really unhealthy. They were shipped in plastic bags and the weather here is very hot and humid. Needless to say there was dieback to the soil on these two. When do I give up on the root system pushing out new growth? Looks like I just have a pot of soil at this point.
Zone 9a florida.
Potted in terracotta with pine straw as mulch.
Root looked viable on one that I dug up thinking it was dead. Replanted.
Tumiamii and comtesse de bouchaud are the plants in question.
Thanks in advance for guidance 😃
Edited- one has the pine straw mulch and one pot doesn’t.

Help diagnosing issues with Key Lime tree.

My key lime tree has multiple issues. I haven’t treated it with anything with the hope that beneficial insects will help. I’m in 9a Florida. Recommendations how to help this tree and stay considerate of pollinators would be very much appreciated.
Ps I’ve been feeding citrus tone. I suspect spider mites amongst other things. They are a huge problem here.

What did I buy? Two very different branches.

I purchased this plant from Lowe’s a few months back. It was labeled Celeste. The leaves on the branches look completely different. Any ideas what I have here? Thanks in advance.
