Spinal alignment great, but feeling pressure point at hip. Which layer to swap?
Hey all, I am a 140 lb 5'9" side sleeper. Currently I have Pocket Spring Store 8" QuadCoil 15.5 guage, with 2" Medium SOL, and 2" Soft SOL layers, inside of a SleepEZ mattress cover with 1" wool sewn into the organic cotton. My spinal alignment is great, but I still have a bit of a pressure point on my side hip. I wonder if I am bottoming out the top layer and feeling the medium foam pressure, but unsure. Which layer should I swap out? I have 2 options I was thinking about.
- Swap the 2" Soft SOL (Dunlop D60) top layer out for a 2" Soft Talalay (19 ILD) from Latex Mattress Factory.
- Swap the 2" Medium SOL (Dunlop D75) second layer out for a 2" Memory Foam layer of similar firmness. What kind should I go with though?

I was trying to avoid memory foam since it isn't all natural, I know it sleeps hot, and I don't like the feeling of being stuck in a hole. But if that's what it takes, and the latex on top combined with the wool helps to dissipate heat a bit, that's good. Are the ventilation holes actually effective? I don't want a hot mattress. Thanks for any thoughts!
