The hatred for June Osborne.!

There goes a lot of hatred for June /or the actor in this sub reddit.! I dunno why people expect her to behave in a particular way. I understand she is ruthless, erratic, has convoluted facial expressions and at times selfish. She is someone undergoing not just post traumatic stress disorder but Traumatic stress. !!her daughter is still in Gilead abused and probably in near future might be subjected to rape.!!! What do people expect from such a person?!! To have graceful face expressions and behave in the appropriate and correct manner.! She is not some military trained personal to have the best strategist moves.! She was kidnapped, raped, emotionally abused, her home, career, her earnings were stolen from her and all this is happening to her daughter too.!!! I get some people remain calm and composed even after going through so much but the series is portrayed from the point of this abused woman, so yes we get close shots of her face.,! She is reacting what happened to her in the way that she knows. May be if her daughter is saved and Gilead goes down and after several years when she has healed she might look back and agree to some of her ruthless decisions , but she is nowhere near that point in the series.!

Carson and Mr Levinson's valet

I found this particular encounter funny. Mr Levinson 's valet asks Carson if anything is going on between daisy and the fella at the Ritz hotel and Carson replies "nothing goes on in a house under my authority " with such disgust and pride. It's funny how a lot was going "on " right under his nose. The chauffeur and lady Sybil, Bates and Anna and Major Charles and that maid had it really going on. Not to mention the un consented sexual encounters of Tom, Anna and in a way Lady Mary and pamuk.

Mathew and the Crawley girls

On his first arrival we have a scene wherein Mathew implies to his mother that they (Crawley) family would try to push one of the daughters towards marrying him . It's quite funny though that at some point all three daughters did crush on him.

Miss Lavinia 's first time at downton

When Matthew brings miss Lavinia first time to downton and they all have dinner I noticed something about her outfit. It was not snugly fit and her petticoat strap was kind a peeking out. In comparison Mary 's outfit was a perfect fit. Was it unintentional as Mary is the main lead and Lavinia being an extra they wouldn't focus on her costume. I want to know if it was just a outfit malfunction or was it intentional given how in those days a lady was supposed to carry herself and how Carson makes a big deal when William's coat is torn.

Miss O Brien going to India

Miss O brien runs off to India as Susan's ladies maid and we are given context in later seasons that she goes on to be the ladies maid of the then Indian governor. Given India gets her independence is 1947,and roughly O Brien should've gone to India around 1920 and if we consider if she was in her late 40's at that time then almost some thirty years later she would have been forced to leave India and go back to Britain. I Cant imagine an angry old Brien in her 70's sailing back to her country.

Claire and her first wedding ring

I had this strange feeling that Claire's rather obsession with Frank's wedding ring is not merely because it represents Frank and her first marriage, rather it is a reminder of the "time " and "life " she has left behind. In her first voyage through the stones yeah I agree she kept it because some part of her couldn't forget Frank and in her second journey as I see her holding it dearly when Bonnet tried to remove it and also she has a fight with Jamie because he bets on her ring. I feel Frank 's ring is a reminder of her once lived life that she has left behind. I don't think it's entirely out of love or respect to Frank. It is a reminiscent of her "very " life and time she had , which is no more. That is why she seems so obsessed with it to the extent of risking her life.(With bonnet )

Claire's time in the past during the first voyage

I'm rewatching the series and I have a problem grasping the time Claire spent in the 1700 during her first journey.

Time taken from craig d nun to reaching castle...? 3 weeks

In the castle.. 3-4 weeks (she was initially promised she could leave in a week ,but later made to stay .was this period more than 4 weeks ?)

Travelling again from castle to collect rent,..? 4 weeks

Getting caught by Randall and married to Jamie.. 1 week

Living in castle to getting burned..? 2 weeks (I understand this time was really short )

Claire and Jamie leave for lallybrouh and live there until Jamie is captured, rescued, going to France, having stil birth... Roughly 8 months (this is the timeline Claire is pregnant and has premature labour )

Going to Scotland again and going through stones ..3-4 months (again as Jamie mentions she is 3 months pregnant )

So in total roughly 15-16* months. This is much lesser compared to the 2.5-3 years . Which part have I made a mistake. Definitely not the France part as her pregnancy timeline has to fit.

Frank's book and the obituary doubt

In the earlier season we know Brianna travelled to the past because of the obituary ad Frank had. And they also show us how just a few days before his dead Frank got hold of that and that was the moment he realized Claire travels to the past again. But again in final season Brianna brings back a book written and printed (after his death ) wherein he mentions the death of Jamie Fraser. Now I'm confused. I have not read the novels

  1. Did it not occur to Frank that Jamie couldn't have died twice

  2. Why didn't Claire or Brianna bother to read Frank's book (the manuscript ofcourse ) or go through any of his things after he died.

  3. Even after travelling through for the second time why doesn't anyone other than Jamie bother to read a "Scottish history " written by Frank!?!

  4. If Frank had always been preparing Brianna to live in 18th century why was he dissapointed and drunk to actually get a proof that Claire will travel again to the past

Jamie's red hair

Jamie having red curly hair has been a specific plotline. So I wanted to know if any natural red haired can help me understand. Does red hair turn goldenish as one ages or under direct sunlight as it appears on Jamie in season 8 ?

Claire's blue dress

When Claire time travels for the second time she wears a custom made blue dress. On rewatch I noticed she goes around in the same dress for roughly two months (one week on land + five or more weeks offshore )..and if I'm right she had it washed only twice.. I Cant imagine how much smelly it must have been

I'm on my rewatch at season 2 and I feel Jamie and John grey have more chemistry than Rodger and Brianna.!!!the only reason they two have been paired seems to be for the time travel part
