What are these bushings/sleeves and do I need them for the new control arm?

I am replacing my lower control arm on my 2012 Tacoma and I am wondering if I need to keep this bushing in the pictures or can I just get rid of it and cut it off? It is in the way of me, pulling off this old control arm, and I’m not sure how to get it off any other way. The new control arm did not seem to come with one that protrudes this far out. The new control arms are TRQ if that is helpful. Any help would be much appreciated!
