Who do I have to sleep with to get an apartment in nyc 😂

Bro I'm so done with this housing market 😭 I don't want people to keep on telling me its tough or other negative things, I just want a fucking decent place to live & I'm so tired of it. & I keep on being told that I'm doing everything right, by brokers, landlords.

If anyone knows any good brokers or landlords let me know because I'm so close to giving up I don't know what to do- its been months.

Budget: $2500 studio Where: Brooklyn or Manhattan, I don't fucking care I just don't want a gang living at the end of my street (btw for context, I lived somewhere out west where my roommate got held at gunpoint & robbed outside our apartment & my local friend told me about the gang on that street)

NYC Apartment Searching- HELP ASAP please

Hi!

I've been searching for an apartment in NYC for a while. Street easy, 753 other online sites. Brokers, real estate agents, reaching out to everybody.

I have a City Fheps voucher (covers all my rent up to $2519 for a studio), 2 jobs, stocks, landlord reference letter, & a guarantor yet I've still gotten declined by many apartments throughout Manhattan & Brooklyn.

If anyone knows a good broker or real estate agent who has access to off market listings, I can apply same day after touring. I literally have all my documents ready. I'm just done fighting a mob to get a place to live- I'm in the homeless shelter & really, really need to get out by June.

If anyone knows anyone who's renting an apartment (under $2500 for a studio, that's what the voucher covers) in Manhattan (not Harlem) or Greenpoint area in Brooklyn, let me know please. I don't know if there's a direct message option on here but do that if you have anything specific please, thank you so much.
