Overall, my favorite REM song. Captures all phases of the band, and Bill is still on board.

Took a hard look ( been a big fan since 1985). Disregarded those songs that had significant memories from college, marriage, etc to reach this conclusion.

So fucking good!

Movie: Land of Bad… Walter is that you??

So I watched Land of Bad on Netflix, it’s basically about an Air Force drone operator played by Russell Crowe who assists a SOG on a mission in the Philippines.
His character is constantly reminding me of Walter in many ways….

Liner Notes

Albums sound great, are a better experience than just a hit or two singles. But, with an album, as you listen, you had liner notes to read.

0ld Big Band (1930’s-1950) 78 rpm record sets.

Is there anywhere interested in these old Big Band records in the Valley? I have both my grandpa’s and my late father’s collection, and cannot bear to toss them, yet at 59, I need to downsize. Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Stan Kenton, Ray Noble, Artie Shaw, Tommy Dorsey, Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Count Basie, Les Brown, Gene Krupa, Cootie Williams, Woody Herman, Edmundo Ross, Elliot Lawrence, Bing Crosby, Freddy Martin, the Four King Sisters, Ralph Flanagan, Coon-Sanders Orchestra,Patti Page, Dinah Shore, Harry James, Joe Stanford, Alvino Rey, Bobby Sherwood, Ink Spots, Mindy Carson, Judy Garland, The Three Suns, Tex Beneke, Louis Jordan, Freddy Slack, Frankie Carle, Airlane Trio…. Whew!!

A point in the right direction as to somewhere/ some folks that might treasure them.

Sometimes I take them out and imagine my dad holding them before being deployed to Okinawa during WWII, and it is pure magic….
