Daith problem while pregnant
Hi piercing fam!
Prefacing this post to say - I’m 30 weeks pregnant and seeing my OB/midwife this morning
Info for bot:
My daith is 11 months old.
It has a titanium CBR in that hasn’t been changed since initially being pierced last August.
No recent injuries. Just pregnant 🤣
Ok so woke up yesterday and noticed my daith seemed a little sore. Didn’t notice any crust or anything so I just kinda left it alone and figured I slept on it accidentally (reflux had me sleeping all kinds of ways I normally don’t). Took a shower last night and went to bed - didn’t dry my ear like I normally do.
This morning- I wake up and it’s feeling more sore so I sprayed some saline on it and cleaned it and it’s bleeding, really tender, and possibly pus beginning- there’s definitely things coming out and normally I don’t have any crust or anything anymore . I feel like this is the beginning of an infection the way it hurts.
Should I mention it to my OB and see if he will perscribe an antibiotic just in case? I know he will look at it before he does. I’m just not sure who to see .. most urgent cares will be weird about it because I’m pregnant and need an OB to approve meds. My primary might.
I could try to get to the piercer and have them look but they open way later than my appointment time is.

Our newest trick is escape artist-ing. They really did pick up on moms expert jumping skills and digging habit 🫠 have dads personality. The two of them are glued at the hip to one another.. and it’s adorable but also double the trouble at times 🫠

Well I forgot the weeks 🤣 but umm here are Scrappy and Brownie being the sweet souls they are in the first 2 pics.
Last ones are of Cha Cha… the people who took her decided they aren’t up for a puppy because it’s baseball season and brought her back… so it’s on to trying to find her a new home.. again. As I’m 20 weeks pregnant 🤣 pray for me.
And because someone always asks:
Mom is the gold dog, she’s a terrier mix of some sort but may also have cur in her. I’m too broke to do a dna test.
Dad was my beautiful brindle Mountain Cur, Tank. I lost him on March 6…. And I’m still not even close to being over it 😭

Rosita found a home last weekend (to someone who actually owned other curs before, which was awesome!) so it’s down to just Scrappy (aka Tom) and Brownie Baby.
We also went to get Rabies and microchipped (after what happened to Tank this was super important to me). 13 weeks was when we brought their dad home so this week was so sweet to be able to see and compare them to tanks pics at the same age. It looks to me like they will take a little bit more after mom than Tank in some ways.
