Corbin Classic Solo (w/Pillion) vs Gambler on Chief Bobber

Hello, I hope everyone is doing great!

I am slowly trying to create my build for an upcoming Chief Bobber purchase. I want to take my wife on trips (usually 1h our less)- hence my need for a passenger seat. I want a genuine leather seat surface in dark brown, which rules out Saddlemen, Mustang, etc. as they only do vinyl.

This leaves me with Corbin who actually have a mind-blowing customizability (seat surface, sides, piping, stitching with tons of leather and color options). However, I am kinda stuck between 2 saddle options:

  1. Gambler
  2. Classic Solo with Pillion (here the added complexity of the Passenger vs Touring option)

Does anyone have any feedback on these two (outside of looks)?

I am most interested in the passenger side of the equation.

Thank you!

Oliver

Odd transmission on 20M Band in Austin

What is this? Seems spaced across the band and transmission characteristics are the same.

So Happy with my Homebrew ADS-B antenna!

I am a HAM, but really new to ADS-B. The fact that you can build a reasonable config on your own for <$100 is great. I build a "Spider" antenna first, which performed real well on the windowsill, but I had concerns putting it outside as the formfactor is a bit awkward. Then I started building the sleeve dipole. I am sure I did not pick the best materials as I used what I had access to. Also, tuning the antenna (using copper pipe and soldering the connector in on the top) what a challenge!!!! However, the results are pretty awesome! Solid 230 mile range. A very happy camper :-)

Soooo. I hope everyone is doing great!

Quick question. I am about to add an antenna eave mount mast (with antennae) to the roof. When looking at the Diamond X30a, it comes with a set of dedicated mast clamps (see highlighted in picture). Can I NOT use the clamps and stick the antenna straight into the mast (as done in the photo)? It is secured with 2 set screws.

Thank you!
