Bhairavnath Temple is located on a hillock roughly 500 meters uphill from the main Kedarnath Temple. This open-air shrine is dedicated to Lord Bhairukund Bhairav, the fierce guardian deity of the valley who is traditionally worshipped before the main temple opens.
