Doll newbie here. Found this one on eBay for $35 and looking forward to the Whitney doll soon! Also, I'm going to be working overtime to afford one of those AKA Sorority dolls, because they are the most adorable (and expensive) dolls I've ever seen!

We came out in DROVES yesterday to celebrate the Ben Franklin Bridge 100th Anniversary (before violent storms rolled through later.) My grandson and I walked the entire length from Philly to Camden, NJ and it was a blast! Took roughly 30 minutes.

The train (2nd pic overlooking the Delaware River) runs along either side of the bridge and that's what we rode back home. That trek was a little unnerving to say the least 😵‍💫

Oh, and please pardon my affinity for butterflies... 🦋

Fresh from seeing the "Michael" biopic, I HAD to pay homage. Fits: Amazon. Shoes: eBay. (And no, I can't dance to save my life.)

I'm one of the fortunate ones to have seen MJ grow from childhood to the global phenom he eventually became. When he and the J5 came to Philly in the early 70s, it was surreal just being under the same roof with such musical royalty TWICE - once at the Uptown (our version of NY's famous Apollo), and at the Spectrum a year or two later.

The film did a great job capturing his essence but I won't give anything away. Jafar and Nia Long as Katherine were simply outstanding. Colman Domingo as Joseph was real AF (IYKYK).

For the younger crowd, go listen to the 70s group Heatwave. Their songwriter Rod Temperton (RIP) was as important to their success as he was for MJ and countless other artists. Without him, there'd be no "Off The Wall" or "Thriller". And with Sir Quincy Jones producing too? Good Lord...

I'm in tears recalling the Thriller years because the world will never see anything like the effect MJ had on our culture. Kids AND adults sported red jackets, silver gloves, jheri curls and were moonwalking at every turn. All this, combined with the influx of rap/hip-hop and music videos, made for one of the most explosive musical periods in history. I'm just so grateful to have witnessed it all. Go see "Michael" 💕
