Looking for a German Learning Roadmap: Zero → A2 in 3 Months

Hi everyone!

I’ve finally decided to seriously start my German-learning journey. I currently live in Ingolstadt, and I’m basically at zero level right now.

My initial goal is to reach A2 within the next 3 months. I know many people in this group have already gone through this stage, so I’d really appreciate some guidance from those who have experience.

There are tons of resources, courses, apps, YouTube channels, books, and different learning methods online—and honestly, I’m already getting super confused about where to start. 😅

So I’m looking for a practical, complete roadmap, especially:

Where should I start from absolute zero?

Which books/resources/apps are actually worth using?

Should I take a course or self-study?

What would be an effective daily study routine?

What are the best ways to practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing?

If you’ve reached A2 yourself, what would you do differently if you had to start again?

If anyone can share their A1 to A2 roadmap, resources, or personal experience, I’d be extremely grateful.

Thanks in advance! 🙏

No plans tomorrow — anyone up for an instant friendship in Munich? 👀

M26. I’m free tomorrow and live in Ingolstadt, and I’m thinking of coming to Munich for the day trip. Honestly, I have no plan whatsoever. 😂

So if anyone here is also free tomorrow and wants to meet up, explore Munich, grab some food/coffee, walk around, or just have random conversations and make an instant friendship, I’m totally up for it.

No expectations, no complicated plans — just two strangers meeting and seeing where the day goes. 😄

If you’re interested, feel free to DM me!

Cloudy Weather, Rock Music & Spontaneous Plans — Anyone Else? Looking for some kind people to hang out with in nearby Munich, ingolstadt, Augsburg.

If You’re Usually the Person Nobody Notices, Maybe We’ll Notice Each Other.

Hey! I’m M26, an international student doing my Master’s in Germany. I’m honestly a very simple and easygoing guy. I’m not really into fancy things and would love to meet some genuine people those who are also struggling to find a company.

I like spontaneous plans like I’m usually the person who’s happy to suddenly decide, “let’s go somewhere” and figure out the rest later. I love nature, long walks, football, and cycling although I don’t have a bike at the moment 😂.

I’m also really into rock music, so we can share songs and discover new bands together.

And yes, I’m one of those weird people who genuinely loves cloudy and stormy weather. Actually, as I’m writing this, I’m sitting by the river enjoying the heavy wind. And sometimes I randomly go out around midnight just to sit somewhere and appreciate the moon and stars.

I live in Ingolstadt, but I don’t mind travelling to nearby cities like Munich or Augsburg or Nuremberg if the vibe and bonding are good enough. 😄

Just looking for good company, random adventures, and hopefully some real friendships. My German is still a work in progress, so English would be great.

Ppl like us also deserve friends so Feel free to DM me! :)

25M | International Master's Student in Ingolstadt – Looking to Meet New People

I'm a 25-year-old international master's student living in Ingolstadt. I've been here for a while, but I'd really like to meet some new people and make genuine connections.

A little about me: I'm a huge football fan, I listen to a lot of rock music, and one of my favorite things is taking long walks in nature. I also enjoy conversations that go beyond small talk anything about life, spirituality, different cultures or just whatever keeps us talking for hours.

I'm mainly looking for friends to hang out with, grab a coffee, explore new places, or watch a football match together. If something more develops naturally, I'm open to that too no pressure.

If you're around Ingolstadt (or nearby) or Munich and think we'd get along, feel free to send me a message. Always happy to meet good people.
