Asking anyone about the pre amp on my epiphany /gibson acoustic.
My dad gave me a pretty sweet Gibson guitar that has a pre amp I believe. I’m not familiar with them as I’ve only seen one on a separate unmarked acoustic.
Well on the unmarked one, all it needed was. A 9v and when turned on you would see a red light switch on and could play it. I believe the one I have on the Gibson is busted. some online say if I connect a regular amp to the unit it would complete the circuit making the light go on. I am not sure of this so I bought a replacement pre amp on Amazon to replace and see. Idk what I am doing though and I’m looking for some insight I guess. The button to press to turn on the preamp does not click either. It just depresses and doesn’t seem to register.
