Illinois Tech Mumbai for CS. Worth joining?

Hi everyone,

I recently got an offer from Illinois Institute of Technology, Mumbai Campus for Computer Science with a ₹24 lakh scholarship.

I’m seriously considering joining, but I’m a little unsure and wanted some honest advice from current students or alumni.

I’ve also read about faculty layoffs at the Chicago campus and some concerns about Illinois Tech’s current financial situation, so that has made me a bit more cautious, especially since this is a big investment for my family.

How is the Mumbai campus actually in terms of academics, faculty, placements, internships, coding culture and opportunities?

Would you personally recommend joining Illinois Tech Mumbai for CS? And is anyone here joining the Mumbai campus this year?

I’d really appreciate honest opinions, both good and bad. Please share anything you think I should know before making a decision.

Thanks!

Does SNU Noida offer a standalone B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science?

Hi everyone! I wanted to clarify something about the B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science program at SNU Noida.

I'm interested in applying for a pure/standalone B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science degree. I'm not a part of HCLTechBee and I'm also not applying through the ASU partnership.

So, does SNU Noida offer a regular B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science program independently, without HCLTechBee or ASU?

If anyone is currently studying this program or has information about it, please let me know. Thanks!

Should someone take CS in 2026? Will it still have good pay/scope in next 10 years, or will Al take over?

AI can already do easy, repetitive coding work. But what about people with strong core concepts, not just memorized syntax, but real understanding of how things work underneath?

Will that kind of knowledge still get good pay and jobs 10 years from now? Or is AI advancing so fast that even solid core concepts won't be enough to survive?

Should someone take up CS right now, or is it too risky because of AI? Honest advice appreciated, even if it's harsh."

"Missed my Krea interview because they informed me just 1 hour before.

I got an interview invite from Krea, but they informed me only about 1 hour before the interview. By the time I saw the email, it was already too late to join.

I contacted admissions and they said they'd update me by tomorrow regarding the next steps, but it's been silence since then no email, no call, nothing.

Has this happened to anyone else? Should I be worried?

Also, I'm considering BSc CS at Krea, so I'd love some brutally honest opinions:

- How's the course?

- How's the faculty?

- How do scholarships work?

- Is Krea worth it for CS?

Please be honest about the good and bad. Thanks!

Basically, genuinely asking should someone take up CS right now, or is it too risky because of AI? Will it still be a safe and good-paying career, or will AI eventually replace most of it?

Honest advice appreciated, even if it's harsh or not what people want to hear.

Has anyone actually joined nayantaUni? Genuine questions inside 🙏

Hey everyone, I'm a prospective student seriously considering Nayanta University for the August 2026 intake and I have some genuine questions that their website obviously won't answer honestly.

For anyone who's already enrolled or has been through the admissions process:

How's the actual experience been so far? Not the brochure version, the real one. Is campus life what they promised? Are the facilities actually functional or still being built out?

Faculty — real talk. Who's actually teaching your classes day to day? Are they full-time professors or is it mostly visiting/guest faculty rotating in and out? How accessible are they outside class?

Curriculum and foundation year — is it genuinely as flexible and interdisciplinary as they claim, or does it feel like a gap year with extra steps?

Placements — this is the big one. They've made a lot of promises given the CII backing and the founders involved. Has anything concrete happened on this front yet? Internship pipelines, industry connections, anything real on the ground?

Is it actually worth it?

Any current students, parents, or even people who chose NOT to join and why — all perspectives welcome. Be brutally honest, that's all I need. 🙏

What qualifications needed?

Everyone got their Ashoka interview mail except me... Should I email them?

I'm honestly freaking out right now.

I applied to Ashoka Uni, and I'm seeing so many people saying they've already received their interview emails. But I still haven't gotten anything.

Does this mean I'm rejected? Or are they sending interview invites in batches?

Should I email the admissions office asking about my application status, or would that hurt my chances or make me look impatient?

Has anyone else still not received an interview mail? Please let me know because I'm seriously panicking right now. 😭 Any advice or similar experiences would really help.

Need some help regarding CBSE verification/re-evaluation.

Chemistry: When applying for re-evaluation, which page number should I enter in the portal? The page number shown in the scanned PDF answer sheet or the page number printed on the physical answer booklet?

Also, for Verification , my total marks calculation is wrong. Which option should I select in the verification portal? The available options seem to be things like missing pages, supplementary copy missing, blurred scan, etc., but I can't find anything specifically for incorrect totaling/counting of marks.

English: I scored 68/80. After checking my answer sheet, I found several places where I feel 0.5 marks were deducted unnecessarily, and one question where I received 0 even though my answer appears to match the marking scheme.

I am thinking of applying for re-evaluation of only that specific question. However, when I manually add up the marks on the answer sheet, I get 67.5, while CBSE has awarded me 68 overall.

If I apply for re-evaluation of that one question, is there any chance my marks could decrease? I know CBSE says marks can increase, decrease, or remain the same, but since re-evaluation is only for the questions selected, I'm a bit confused and honestly don't trust the process completely 😭.

Would appreciate any guidance from someone who has gone through CBSE verification/re-evaluation before.
