I can't believe its been like this for 10+ years.

Figured it would have gotten the llm treatment.

Is there no native support for transparent/alpha videos in mediaencoder?

I'm wrote my own webm integration for alpha channel support. Why doesn't google support this at the hardware level? Is there any other options?

Anyway to reset play store rating?

Recently retained ownership of one of my previous apps, but the app wasn't updated in a while so it got a bunch of 1 star reviews. 1.5k reviews so it may be hard to overcome.

Recently updated the Reported apps with LLM capability as well as our own reported AI for detecting vehicle infractions within New York City.

You guys might be familiar with the Reported NYC app. It’s used for facilitating reports to 311 by making it easier to report:

Blocked bike lanes
Blocked crosswalks
Illegal parking
Running red lights

I just wanted to talk about how we released a new Android and new iOS app that now has our Reported AI models, which is a computer vision model for detecting:

Blocked bike lanes
Blocked crosswalks

Further, we also integrated an LLM, which is optional to use, that can help facilitate filling in the fields about the cars, the infraction type, and descriptions of the photo and all that. It’s almost three gigs, but you can talk to it and it will fill in the fields automatically for you.

We are currently training blocked bus lanes, if you want to do some menial tasks of labeling cars and bus lanes, please reach out.

If you have any interest in using the apps, here’s the iOS, here’s the Android, here are the websites, and here is our RoboFlow data model.

Would verified attention actually matter to media buyers, or is this just another vanity metric?

I built an ad platform where people opt in to watch ads for cash rewards.

The core idea is verified attention: the ad only progresses when engagement is detected, and advertisers get a dashboard showing completion, attention, age/gender estimates, and emotional response over time.

I’m trying to figure out if this is actually valuable to buyers, or if it just sounds interesting but would get ignored without conversion data.

For media buyers/agency people:

Would verified attention make you test a new ad channel?

What proof would you need before spending even a small budget?

Are emotion/demographic reaction metrics useful, or mostly bullshit?

Should I skip chasing advertisers at first and prove it myself with affiliate offers?

Looking for honest feedback, especially reasons this would not work.

A cancer-linked forever chemical showed up above NJ’s limit in these water systems

PFOA stands for perfluorooctanoic acid.

It is a man-made PFAS chemical, part of the “forever chemicals” family, used because it resists heat, oil, grease, stains, and water. It does not break down easily in the environment, can persist in drinking-water sources, and can build up in people over time.

Health agencies treat PFOA as a serious long-term exposure risk. The International Agency for Research on Cancer classifies PFOA as carcinogenic to humans, and drinking-water regulators set very low limits because of concerns including kidney and testicular cancer, immune effects, liver effects, cholesterol changes, and reproductive effects.

EPA data

Data extracted from EPA for PFOA in NJ

This data is a little outdated, so levels can rise and fall.
