Wow, Keurig customer service really went downhill.

I've had probably 10 various Keurig makers over the past couple decades between our house and camper. Over those years, I've had a few go bad while still under the one-year warranty and replacement was pretty easy. Not today though! Our K-Supreme Plus that was less than 90 days old and purchased directly from Keurig died in a puff of smoke this morning when making the first cup of the day.

So, I call customer service and after going through two people, they of course said they would replace it, but not until I sent them the broken one and it gets "evaluated" first. I told her I didn't have a box, but she said to just find anything it would fit in.

I've never had to return a bad Keurig for previous replacements, but it's been several years since I had a warranty replacement. I buy a lot from them too. It even took CS a bit to find my order since she said I had a lot of them.

They should have at least offered to ship the replacement while I work on getting the bad one returned. It could be a couple weeks before I can get it sent. Aside from trying to find a box, which I don't have anything close, I'm also a disabled vet and it's a pain to go to the nearest UPS spot.

I'm now looking on Amazon at the Ninja Pod & Grounds XL after this. Has anyone had one of those, and how do they compare? I did like the Multi-Stream in the K-Supreme Plus and don't know if the Ninja would have less flavor without that.

Very fast and successful turnaround!

I was thrilled today to get a notification from the VA app saying my claim was decided. It was much, much faster than I expected and also better than expected/hoped for. The timeline:

*Intent to file Feb, 19

* Two secondary claims filed April 29th

* VES C&P exam with Psychologist via telehealth last Thursday, May 7th

* VES C&P ACE records exam with an MD last Friday May 8th

* Went to step 5 Sunday or yesterday

* Went through steps 6, 7, and 8 over several hours today and both claims granted and better than I had hoped for.

I'm not 100%, and don't intend to be, but I am happy because I got better than I hoped for and have been suffering from things for so many years.

I do owe thanks to this sub because I learned a lot from reading so much here. This will truly make a difference for the better in the lives of my wife and I, so thank you all.

Does the VA allow a C&P doctor to change a secondary claim to a standalone claim or make changes that help the veteran?

I had an unexpected situation come up today. I had an ACE records review C&P scheduled for today It was for tension headaches (Which I have frequently and bad) secondary to already SC tinnitus. However, the doctor called me and said he had a few questions.

He was reviewing my decades old service records and said the records noted I had in service event 2 years into my service of tension headaches that caused me to be removed from my ship and hospitalized for a few days. I obviously remember that event, but I didn't know that's how it was diagnosed since I don't have my STR. Anyway, he said based on my records, in-service, along with prior service and after service he saw a "slam dunk" for service-connected tension headaches by itself.

He said he was going to put it through and see what he could do.

I'm hoping I don't have to refile since the DAV office I used to help was really bad, were unhelpful, lost some of my paperwork, and didn't even file the claims correctly for other reasons.
