Death commando redux (trench crusade)
Heretic legion Death Commando redux.
Another mini that had been sat on the desk almost finished for weeks, I managed to throw a couple of hours at him yesterday to get him over the finish line.
My second time painting what is probably my favourite sculpt from trench crusade, this guy was printed at 120% to give more room for details.
I wanted this to be more of a study into metals than anything, from the subtly weathered steel armour to the oxidised bronze accents and heavily rusted chain mail, I avoided adding any texture pastes prior to painting (apart from the chain mail) instead letting the ensuing layers of paint tell the story.
Some suitably necrotic flesh, old scraps of tattered cloth, rudimentary gore effects on his claws, scratch built stealth field antennas and hand made barbed wire for the base completed the relatively simple approach.
Thanks for looking and I hope you like him!
