Como los ven?
One month later Cubarsi is still flying
Have you seen it flying over your house?
Messi's first coach when he was a little kid
First time he played, his grandma convinced the coach to let him play
Would you support to move to daylight Wenger's rule for offside?
The original offside rule was invented to avoid playing hogging in the box, which would lead to really boring football and it'd be too much of an advantage. Offside was played during decades and most of the time linemen wouldn't call millimetre offsides, so the original philosophy of the offside rule was kept anyway.
However, with VAR, now you can be offside by 1 mm in 1 frame of the camera. These offsides would never have been called in the past. Therefore I believe an update to the rules, so that they follow the initial philosophy would be better, and Wenger's daylight rule where your whole body would be offside would provide that.
I think it'd make games more dynamic, encourage attacks and it will be subjectively clearer to call. I know mathematically it's the same, but not in people's minds.
Same as for a goal the ball has to be fully across the line, I think for offside the whole body of the attacker should be ahead.
Some people are worried that this will hurt football and lead to teams defending "parking the bus". I do not think that would be the case. The changes would be small anyway. But it would certainly lead to less frustrations in very close calls. Now if you're offside you're clearly offside, nobody would complain. And it'd help attacking steams SLIGHTLY to be more offensive, since they would need to worry less about offsides and super quick "offside traps" would be harder to execute, e.g. in free kicks.
For players it's way easier to spot daylight offside too, it goes with basic human instinct. When you're walking/running, etc, you subconsciously know if you're not overlapping with someone. But knowing if just your toenail is offside is impossible.
Football should start using the daylight Wenger's rule for offside
Would make matches a lot more dynamic and exciting and also give a bit more advantage to the attackers, which is good.
This would remove all those silly "toenail" or "shoulder" offsides. Now your full body would need to be offside.
By comparison, a goal is considered goal if the ball is FULLY through the line. Same logic should be used for offside, there shouldn't be room for ambguity in a goal, same as in an offside.
VAR should have an anonymous button, if all VAR refs do not agree on a call then nothing is decided
This would stop all borderline calls that make no sense. Example the offside between Croatia and Portugal (I know that's using some automated call but to give an example).
All refs in VAR have an anonymous button. If they do not all agree on a call then play is simply continued an no foul/handball/offside/penalty is called.
Why is the Boca Juniors stadium missing one side, are they stupid?
La Bombonera
The home of the GOAT in Rosario
Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina
Prize money should be given based on goals, not position
I'm referring to prizes given to teams in competitions, and especially in very reputable competitions, such as World Cup and Champions League, where everyone wants to win anyway. For leagues perhaps the usual system is good since it can provide most of the revenue for teams/players.
Everyone already wants to win. Brings you reputation, more possibilities for sponsors, player development, etc, etc. So no need to incentivise this further.
So the incentive should be based on something else, e.g. on goals.
Goals are what brings excitement to people. Yes, that's why people celebrate like crazy when there's a goal, it's the peak of the game. So giving an extra incentive would be great and reward players for brining that excitement
Why is Inter Miami playing against Leo? Are they stupid?
Don't they know he's the GOAT?
Players should carry a sensor so that offsides are called automatically and instantly
If an offside is called automatically then people would get a lot less disappointed at milimetric offsides, since players wouldn't have time to score (and even if they did, e.g. header), there would be no time to wait. Similar to tennis now with automatic line calls.
Players have the sensor, the ball already has the sensor, so you can determine who's on side, or offside.
It may need some adjustment of borderline cases of the rules, but that's worth it to get the automatic instant calls.
Obviously only the sensor is what would be offside. Sensor could be in the torso or in the feet. VAR would alway stay as backup system in the unlikely scenario a sensor fails, etc, but the vast majority of offsides would be instantly called.
Why are back passes to the goalkeeper's hands with your head allowed?
what's the rationale behind this? For a professional footballer, they have great control with their head as well to pass to the goalkeeper. Actually it's probably even a safer pass (although from shorter distance) since it's probably impossible to catch by an attacker.
How much is a good football?
I'm confused, there are footballs from £10 to £150.
By "good" I mean a football that you can bring to a university level match and people would be happy to use. They won't be "why did you bring that crap?"
Also, there are so many sub models for one series (e.g. Puma Orbital goes from Play £10 to Ultimate £80) that it gets very confusing.
Is there a tier list or something for footballs and which tier would be the recommended for university level?
If people could give EXACT MODELS when they talk about a ball it'd really help, since with a similar name there are loads. A link would be great too.
Players should say if they commit a foul to avoid a higher penalty
This would remove a lot of controversy regarding fouls. If you commit a foul you just raise your hand, apologize and move on. Otherwise you get a higher penalty.
Similar to how other sports work, e.g. in volleyball if you think the ball is going out you have to leave it out, if you keep playing you're accepting the ball is in.
In tennis (at least before the fully automated calls) if you thought a ball was out you had to stop playing, if you play it then you cannot challenge it anymore.
Of course I don't mean apologizing would save you from e.g. a card, it's just that the penalty would be higher than what it is now.
This goes hand in hand with stopping playing arguing with the ref all the time.
Murió el papá de Lionel Messi: tenía 68 años y estaba internado en un sanatorio de Rosario
Saco la noticia TN ahora despues de Infobae. Fue confirmado por Newells y la liga profesional tambien.
What is it about Argentina that they bring the best players ever?
It was first Maradona and then 10 years later after Maradona's retirement, when everyone thought it was impossible to repeat, they bring us an improved version of him through Leo Messi
