First craft in a long time! Should I add or change anything?

Hi! I just discovered this sub and it is so helpful to put a name to the decor style that I love!

I don’t craft a lot, but I just finished this Fall wreath the other day. It’s not perfect, but it’s been fun to work on it. Close up pics of the tiny pinecones my son found on the ground, plus my furry helpers.

I really enjoyed making this wreath! I’d love some suggestions and tips for the future. I found this one to look a bit more bottom heavy than I’d like, and it look me a long time to decide where was best to add some of the florals. And I don’t know if I could add more to it, or if it feels too busy already!

Also, any suggestions on where to source cheaper materials? I got all these for 60% off at Michaels but it still ended up being $30-$40 in materials.

Cracked mica lamp shade

Hi! I looked for MONTHS to find a lamp shade I liked for this floor lamp. Finally found this mica shade!

It just arrived today and I inspected it thoroughly (or so I thought( and with the bulbs on before removing the clear wrapping. The packaging said clearly that there are no returns after removing the wrapping. That’s when I noticed this crack.

SO that being said…is this that bad? I don’t completely hate how it looks with the crack, but Im disappointed for not noticing and worried that it’ll flake and spread more. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to help mitigate it getting any worse?

[NC] [SFH] New Treasurer: HOA never filed taxes

I am the new treasurer for our neighborhood, as the previous treasurer has moved away. They said we don't have to file taxes, but my research shows that we do need to file taxes... I haven't found an EIN, and I've reviewed all records since the HOA formed in 2017. We are registered as a nonprofit corporation with the state.

I'm just trying to figure out what I need to do! I see stuff about a form 1120-H. We don't have any property like buildings, just the common area around the mailbox and retention pond. Our only income is from annual dues, and we're only a 14-home neighborhood.

Help!

Whole Foods prepared food bag

Picked up my first bag tonight in Cary, NC. Not an amazing haul, but definitely worth the $9.99 and pretty spot on for the stated $30 value.

Rotisserie chicken (worth about $8)
Two tubs of massive chicken strips (~ $7 each)
Two turkey chorizo breakfast burritos (~$6 something each)
