Watercolor+Gouache 3.5x6 sketch

I guess it qualifies more as a painting than a sketch. From a photo looking over to the neighbors house in NC, winter time.

Advice on painting birds?

First bird attempt, a little overworked with the gel pen, and I always seem to make these type of depictions look cartoonish.

Experimenting. Does this count as an urban sketch?

What is this missing?

Alcohol marker on Bristol paper, just using little dots. I may need to darken up some areas. Any specific tips to finish this one? Or should I just put it down for a while?

Should I Go Abstract?

This is not in my wheelhouse. Sometimes if I mess up I like to send a painting into chaos and make the ugliest thing I can. Anyone else like this approach?

Please roast my painting

I abandoned a landscape watercolor, but decided to cut out and save a section of the sky. Then I drew some mountains (just for shiggles) with fine liner, alcohol markers, and white gel pen.
