New to South Florida Looking to meet new people
I am a 40-year-old guy who relocated back to Miami for work, and I honestly didn’t expect making new connections to be this difficult.
I’m naturally more of an introvert, but I’m intelligent, curious, have a good sense of humor, and once I’m comfortable with someone I can talk for hours. I’m trying to push myself out of my comfort zone and actually build a social life instead of working, going home, and wondering where everybody is. 😂
A few things about me:
🏈 I’m a huge college football fan, especially the University of Miami. Once football season starts, I’ll definitely be going to games.
💃 I love Latin dancing—even though I’m definitely better at enjoying it than actually doing it well. 😂 I’d love to find people who dance salsa or bachata, or someone willing to teach me a few things.
🎮 I enjoy gaming, and I can get way too competitive over things that absolutely do not matter.
🏀 I’ve played in basketball leagues, done spin classes, and taken Zumba. I like activities where you actually get to interact with people rather than just standing around awkwardly.
🇪🇸 My kids are bilingual, so I understand Spanish pretty well. Speaking it is still a work in progress. 😂
I don’t drink and I’m not really a clubbing person, so the traditional Miami nightlife scene isn’t really my thing. I’d much rather go dancing, catch a game, grab food, take a class, play something, or discover somewhere new.
And I’ll be honest—I’m single and I’d definitely enjoy meeting women too. I like flirting, good conversation, and that feeling when you meet someone and immediately want to keep talking. I’m not trying to force anything or turn every interaction into a date. I’d rather meet naturally, have fun, and see where the chemistry takes things. 😉
Mostly, I’m looking for good people, new friends, new experiences, and a reason to get out of the house more.
Bonus points if you’re around South Miami/Kendall. That’s where I’m based, so if you know a great salsa/bachata spot, recreational league, class, gaming group, or somewhere people actually socialize, tell me about it.
And if you’re a woman reading this thinking “I might actually get along with this guy…”—
well, I’m definitely not going to discourage you from saying hello. 😏
