Does anyone happen to know of any fanfics where A-Yuan is given Suibian? (Whether it's because he was raised by WY and WY decided the best use for Suibian was in Yuan's hands...)
I just want to see a fic focusing on the parent-child dynamic between A-Yuan and WY... Maybe one where WY escapes with A-Yuan instead of dying (or, if WY does die, a fic where A-Yuan remembers WY as his father).
MDZS fanfic ideas – Part 1
Scenario 1: JFM adopts him even before marrying YZY, making him technically the heir to Lotus Pier 🪷. Since his early years at Lotus Pier were positive, he always considers himself the heir to Yunmeng, no matter what YZY says. I picture him stepping up to take responsibility when his younger siblings are born. Maybe he’s the cool brother JC proudly brags about, or perhaps the brother who dotes heavily on his little siblings.
Scenario 2: I see him being close friends with LX and NM—who knows, maybe they form a new "holy trinity." And then, of course, there are the interactions with LZ as he falls for his older brother's friend...
Scenario 3: Let's talk about LZ and his massive crush on WWX... I imagine WWX going to Cloud Recesses with LX and spotting a small, serious-looking LZ from afar; WWX tries to cheer him up by giving him toys, drawings, sweets, and—of course—rabbits... LZ tells LX that one day he’s going to marry WWX. As for WWX, I think he’d view Lan Zhan as naturally cute and sweet (never having seen his cold side); he doesn't fall for LZ until after the War, when LZ is 21 (and that happens because LZ kisses WWX until his legs go weak).
Scenario 4: What about the War? WWX might or might not lose his core; personally, I don't think he would, because as the heir, WWX would have set up strong defenses for Yunmeng, preventing a massacre. JC might not lose his core either; regardless, since WWX is the heir, giving up his core certainly wouldn't be his first option.
Scenario 5: Would WWX ever become the Leader of Yunmeng? I don't think so; I picture him ceding the position to JC—acting as the heir who steps aside to give his little brother time to grow up and shoulder fewer responsibilities.
These are just ideas I have, but honestly, I don't know how to write a story (lots of imagination, zero skill), so anyone is free to use the idea without issue. Also, if anyone knows of a fic where WWX is the older brother, please drop the links ;v.

Scenario 1: After breaking off the engagement between Yanli and Jin Zixuan, Jiang Fengmian decides he wants his daughter betrothed to someone who will respect or cherish her—someone willing to die for her.
Scenario 2: Jiang Fengmian believes Wei Wuxian would make a better leader than Jiang Cheng, so the betrothal is a way to position Wei Wuxian to take on that leadership role.
Scenario 3: The sect elders think Jiang Cheng is too much like his mother; they view Wei Wuxian as a genius with immense potential that is being squandered because of Yu Ziyuan.
Again, they don't necessarily have to get married in the end, but I think the dynamic between them—or the balancing act they’d have to perform while engaged—would be interesting.
I’ve read fics where Jin Zixuan and Wei Wuxian end up married (there was one Omegaverse fic in Spanish that really shocked me; I remember neither of them wanted the marriage and actually planned to divorce at the first opportunity, but Meng Yao dosed them with an aphrodisiac to trigger their heat/rut, and that’s how Jin Ling was conceived. They didn't love each other at first—in fact, Wei Wuxian was in love with Lan Zhan—but they started getting along for the sake of their son. To be honest, the plot started off strong but the writing quality dropped as the chapters went on. Still, that fic left me wanting to read more stories with unusual pairings).
