Ghosted by HR Recruiter

I just need a place to vent. I have been trying to transition my nursing career to a remote role for a couple of months now. I seem to make it to the point of having an HR recruiter reach out to me and schedule a phone screening, but when the time comes for said phone call….. crickets. This has happened to me multiple times and I always get the same response of ‘I had to be pulled away to a meeting’ after I reach back out to the recruiter. Then when I check the job portal, I notice that it now says I was not selected. Why in the world can’t there be human decency just to communicate they can’t make the phone call due to x,y,z instead of making me wait nervously around the phone? I even had one recruiter go as far as to tell me that they called me and left a voicemail and that was definitely not the case as I had ensured I was by the phone waiting, had my volume turned up, made sure that my phone’s call filtering was off, and there was no voicemail. If I am expected to have professional level of communication in my profession, why can’t HR as well?

Conduct in workplace

There has been an ongoing situation in my workplace that I need advice on what my next step should be. During a unit based meeting where I was not present, my coworkers were openly complaining about my documentation (mainly formatting complaints). When the meeting minutes were sent out, it was pretty obvious to me that I was one of the subjects of that meeting. I reached out to my manager for clarification and to discuss how unprofessional that behavior was. My manager took 40 days to respond back to me about the matter. She followed up with me regarding the matter on a Teams chat. When I replied back that I wish that she had got back with me sooner, she proceeded to claim that the day that she planned to be at my work location, I called in. I was pretty caught off guard in the manner that the conversation was going. It was clear she was done with the conversation and one of the last messages that she sent was that she had no further information for me. After reflection, I realized that there were at least 2 other shifts I worked during that 40 days that are also within her working hours that she could have addressed me. I sent an email to my director as I felt like I was getting no where with my manager and now had new concerns with how long it took for management to get back with me regarding the situation. My director told me that my formatting of my notes “by interpretation” were against policy even though there is nothing verbatim about formatting in the policy that was shared with me. Additionally another employee at a different location has been permitted to have their notes in different formatting without issue for years. I was somewhat ready for water to be under the bridge until another coworker recently disclosed to me that the meeting was overheard by my manager and my director. My manager and director did nothing to stop this behavior by my coworkers if they in fact heard this. When I reached out to my manager and director, I did not have knowledge regarding them potentially overhearing the UBC meeting. What steps should I take next?
