Is this thing on? Do I have spinach in my teeth?
Playing 5x on mobile, got to mimers maze. Yikes! They even ganged up on me like 2 at once. They also followed me way farther than I’m used to. I’ve done this on 5x with many builds but I don’t ever remember anything like this. Good thing this wasn’t a zero death run - I went around that first corner and POW that was it.
Once I regrouped the usual worked though - get a really weak weapon (this build is bow / throwing), run circles around them, and chug potions. You get to heal, they don’t.
Found? The snowball! Ternion meets ice shard and no level or stat requirements! Use it for a brand new build and you’ll shred until Delphi or beyond. Yikes! It dropped in one of the Easter egg areas I don’t remember which. Does it feel like cheating? Sure kinda, but a brand new mobile 5x build can be tough.
Found / created? That helmet! I got the luckiest stat ever for a crystal of Erebus and had just the right helmet to use it with. I just got the build you see to level 46, popped it on my head, and instantly freed up 12 skill / mastery points. This one is a game changer for sure. I don’t have legendary stone binder cuffs plus I’ve always got amulets I want to use so this is my instant +3.
What all have you got?
We’ve got vitamins A C D E etc all without letters. Why do B vitamins need the numbers? Is it chemistry or did someone screw up?
I’m the guy who after years on mobile started playing on PC. It’s amazing being able to see stuff (as I said in an earlier post, who knew Megara had a juggler?!) and I’m having a blast so plan to stick with it. It’s way more atmospheric and immersive both the wandering around and the fights.
Problem #1 is I’m starting over with gear. Problem #2 is my very first build is Oracle. Made it to typhon and can’t even make a dent. Im using four or five passives. I tried kiting, pets, outsider, cyclops scroll, other scrolls, focus on lightning, focus on storm nimbus, resists, staff vs throwing, relics, charms, you name it. And now I’ve run out of money fiddling with skills and spells.
I’m not looking for answers here, I’m just realizing all over again what it’s like for new players. I’m also realizing how much “cheating” I do when I constantly slot in new better gear from my vast stash on mobile. I think I’m gonna have to start some different builds for easier newbie play throughs. I found yin and yang so I think I know what’s next. Oh shuckey darn, right? 😉
I’m the guy with years on mobile who recently got the PC version. Loving it so far, just refreshing to <see> stuff on a big monitor.
One question - is there a mod that will let me tweak the mouse cursor? Unless I zoom in (which can be fun) it’s too small and too bland. I get surrounded by a mob and don’t have a clue where I’m aiming never mind trying to run away. I’d love to make the cursor bigger and dayglo green or something like that.
Anyone else ever played on mobile then tried the PC version? Well I did and it’s a hoot! You can <see> things!
I actually played it on PC when it was new (I’m old) and didn’t like it. Made it to the beach before Megara and bailed, no idea why. But for several years now I’ve been loving TQ on mobile (like 15ish builds through legendary, hundreds of items saved, every artifact there is, etc). Then recently I got back into playing other games on the PC by way of the new Diablo 4 LOH expansion. So I thought why not try TQ for PC? Yeah it was expensive and yeah I’m starting over on collecting stuff, but I wanted to see what it looked like in its full glory. Took a little while to learn the keyboard and tweak the resolution, and I’m barely past Sparta but I’m having a blast! It’s so nice to actually get the full effect of the graphics and overall ambience. Starting over when I know the game inside and out is also way more fun than I expected.
So why yay me? I’m playing an Oracle (storm / spirit) and the very first blue item I got was the necromancer robe. Nice!!! My stats still aren’t there but I’ll be wearing it as soon as I can.
I did figure out that the mobile “option 2” screen isn’t there so I can’t set automatic potion refills and things like that. I don’t have pets so haven’t had to fiddle with that either. No big deal though. Eventually I’ll miss the 5x difficulty thing too but that’ll be a ways off. I also have heard about the TQ vault but can google that.
Anything else helpful, just let me know.
Looked around here and on Google but couldn’t pin this down.
I’ve gotten a new paladin build through the entire campaign including all dlc so did the mercenary quest and hired them. They’re fun and helpful and should have shown up many acts earlier like older Diablo games.
I only play eternal realm so a lot is shareable across builds. Now I’m trying out a warlock and wondered, can I wander all the way across to nahanta and snag a mercenary? Ive barely started and all I’ve done is the early act 1 stuff like find neyrelle’s mom.
Oh I saw there may be a bug for warlock where your mercenary disappears when you quit and restart?
I want one real bad but Lego doesn’t make one. That leaves me with either an off brand kit or recreating a MOC. I’ve looked at both of these (Google as well as here on Reddit) and I’m torn. Any recommendations thoughts steer clears etc would be great!
Off brand kits? From what I can tell there are two and they both have the same issues. One, quality control aka lousy molds lousy fit missing parts. Two, the kit isn’t very accurate or realistic. Is this on track or am I just reading the one star reviews?
MOC? I’ve never done this before but you buy the instructions (and maybe even stickers) and order real actual LEGO bricks. The designer makes some money which they should. There are several out on rebrickable that look promising. Note I’d want one that is 100% off the shelf parts, no customizing. Any recommendations? This one looked the most promising:
Thanks!
I posted these a while ago under a different user name but had them digitized so the images are much improved.
In 1916 my dad’s family drove from NJ all over the west, and my great grandma took tons of pix. The hotels and chalets had just been built (many glacier was 1915 so the year before) and GTTS road was decades off. So a lot of horses were involved. Enjoy!
You all probably don’t care but the older boy was my dad’s dad and the younger girl was my great aunt. They went up the Hudson, through Minnesota to glacier then hit up Yellowstone and Estes park. They stayed at a dude ranch in CO that still exists.
