A labor of love…

We aren’t the first to do this, but here’s our version! The Lego Saturn V Rocket 🚀

IKEA glass cabinet, PVC pipe, LED strip and Polyfil. My 6 year old helped me every step of the way!

2027 Transmission Issues Already...?

Hey all, we bought a 2027 SX Prestige HEV in Ivory Silver a couple of months ago. We're at 3000 miles and absolutely love it except for a couple small(ish) concerns. Curious if anyone else has noticed this?

- On start up and reverse when backing down our driveway, the first time we touch the brakes they shutter a bit. Almost like the ABS is kicking off or something. It only does it one time, and it's only ever in reverse and the first start up when cooled off. The slope of the driveway doesn't matter, it will do the same in a flat parking lot.

- When doing a 'California Stop' the transmission freaks the fuck out and can't decide whether to go into 1st gear or 2nd gear and just bogs the car down hard. It's like the car will slam on the brakes before picking a gear in order to save the transmission or something.

We bought the warranty. And then the extended warranty, then we bought the warranty for the warranty. All jokes aside, I've heard the nightmares that people have had with Kia's and the money wasn't an issue so I bought all the coverage. I haven't had first service yet, it's scheduled for next week.

Now we wait…

Assuming I didn’t get scammed (went grey with a ‘reputable’ source) I think I’m ready to go! Both BAC and Reta are inbound.

Anyone else have a dedicated drawer? Also am I missing anything?😅

- 3mL syringe for reconstitution
- Easy Touch .5mL 5/16 8mm insulin syringes
- One metric fuck-ton of alcohol prep pads
- FDA approved sharps container (as required by local disposal location)
- Amazon Vial storage kit for fridge/freezer

Edit: Meant to say my plan is to start at .5mg for at least two weeks regardless of how I’m feeling. For me this is a marathon, not a sprint.
