A little background -- I'm coming up on my 2nd Saturn return and contemplating retirement in the next 3-5 years. I've had the sudden urge to dive into astrology -- and deeply, because I go in deep or I don't go in at all. I'm thinking both Pluto and Mars sextile to my Scorpio 12th house Neptune and trine to each other might have something to do with it.

I'm contemplating a deep dive into astrology and using it as a tool to inform a creative outlet such as writing a novel might be fun and a good use of some compulsive tendencies I have with this sort of thing. Maybe finding some retired friends who want to dive into D&D or something like that, not sure.

Also interested in how other 12th housers might view the idea of retirement itself, whether or not Scorpio is driving your 12th houseboat.

I'm preparing for retirement from my career in the next 3-5 years, coming up on my 2nd Saturn return and 5th Jupiter return, and have recently (last 3 months or so) been drawn down into the rabbit hole of astrology.

When it comes to these sorts of things, I dive in deep or not at all. Perhaps you can see this in my chart. I am really interested in learning this practice and pursuing it as at least a hobby, possibly a semi-obsessive tool of channeling my creative energies and directing this sometimes inconvenient aspect of my personality to things that won't get me into too much trouble.

The problem with becoming suddenly obsessed with something like astrology in times like these is that the easiest and fastest shortcut temptation for my impatience is learning the concepts using AI. As you probably know, AI treats every question and observation I make about my birth chart like I'm a natural born astrologer and I should hang my shingle tomorrow because I already understand these things like an expert, and oh by the way this conjunction over here means I'm the second coming of the Christ...

So, I'd like to know (1) if anyone can spot some things in my chart that might help me understand myself better, and (2) recommend any books, websites, or any other (non-AI) methods to get me started in the pursuit of this new interest of astrology.
