I understand you guys probably get these questions a lot, but I don't really know anything about PC specs or anything in that region and need some help, so here me out.
I live on a sail boat, so i really don't have much space for a massive pc, and I would also like to be able to unplug whatever system i choose and leave the boat if worst comes to worst.
I currently have a steam deck, which has been great for how mobile and small it is. However, I've always played quite intensive games (like arc raiders, the finals, he'll let loose etc) which *can* run these games, but only with 30-50 frames and on potato graphics. Additionally, some games just wouldn't work at all.
So I'd like to improve my current system, but I'm stuck between 3 options; a micro desktop pc, a gaming laptop, or a steam machine.
I've had my eye on the steam machine since it was announced, but I've been told that i wouldn't be using it to its full potential and that a gaming laptop would be more effective for my situation.
I've read a lot online, and every time I see a new opinion, there seems to be a valid counterpoint that confuses me even more.
I'd love to hear all your thoughts because it's been on my mind for the past few months.
[i should add that although I've been controller gaming for over a year, I've been using k&m on and off for longer and generally prefer it, which is why I'm not going for a console of any sorts]
