Some of caps most iconic moments from movies and comics are him deflecting lasers beams and stuff like that, which looks very visually impressive and just overall cool asf. I havent thought about it balancing wise but it would be a cool little detail and would contribute to his hero fantasy (it would probably be pretty op against devil Dino but that guy counters the shit out of cap anyway)
It feels kinda great tbh. I thought I would have some resentment over it but nah. 7 seasons of pure abuse of my main heros and constant catering to pokeslop dps and the petite support women just shattered any love I had for this game
The straw that broke the camels back: The phoenix rework. A hero that's been consistently A-S tier since release gets an amazing patch that is essentially a buff.
She looses 5 aoe dmg but in turn gets 5 dmg on her base attack
A season ago my main, captain america, had his animation cancel removed (his most fun mechanic that allowed you to boost your damage by about 10%) and the compensation was.... 5 extra damage on his melee
The B tier dive tank got a nerf with horrible compensation that made him play like a clunky dogshit version of his older self while the top tier poke dps gets a rework that is arguably a buff
I hoped and coped for any change in this games direction but they once again proved their absolute incompetence
Farewell marvel rivals I won't miss you. Was fun while it lasted until season 3 atleast
