You guys ever stack shifts?

Back in my time in security there would be guys who worked multiple companies and left the other sites unmanned. Like working 2-4 warm body shifts at the same time or with time overlapping while only staying at one or sometimes going back and forth or even staying home entirely. They would have multiple phone etc. I tried it for a few months here and there and the money was nice but ended up changing careers.

How do you deal with concerns of retaliation from a problem inmate getting out?

I know a lot of people have different ideas of how to deal with this situation so I just want to gain some more insight here. Inmate a career violent criminal, claims "abuse" several times in the past, has a major chip on his shoulder. There has been talk about retribution on the people he thinks wronged him. What happens inside the walls and having fun with inmates and a baton sometimes is one thing but when things get real on the outside, its something that would have anyone concerned. Any tips on staying safe off the clock?

A lot of people complain that they can't get physical, why not join corrections?

I know a lot of guys get the itch to get hands on when the situation calls for it or when they just want to blow off some steam but can't because of policy. I know what that itch used to feel like. Feels no good when some punk criminals can disrespect you to your face with no consequences. In corrections (depending on the state) you can do pretty much anything you want to with these punks. If you get lip then you baton them no problem. Everyone is a team player so you don't have to worry about getting in trouble. The money is great and there is more comradery with your co workers. Any of the more eager security people out there I always recommend the corrections route.

Anyone out here enjoying the gang violence?

Why even pretend like you all don't like it. I don't think there should be any shame in having favorite sets and affiliations. If one of my favorites gets the better of their rivals then why shouldn't that be celebrated? I like it in my music and I like it in my streets, someone has to say it. If these kids want to tik tok a beatdown or something then I am going to enjoy it no doubt.

You ever had to watch your back on the streets? How did you handle it?

I am getting mixed responses regarding how others handle getting "contacted" by associates of those on the inside. Assuming that going to your superiors was not an option, how would you handle the situation? It might be a money related issue with some of the inmates. Those that have gone through something similar I would like to get some insight.

What do you all think about the facilities that host "off the books" fights, anyone get in on the action? Ive heard from buddies working out of state that they are starting to crack down and get rid of them but theres no problems here. Winners and strong performers get perks and privileges and we get down on the action big time so there is always opportunities.
