Record 209 million-dollar HDB flats sold in September 2026

#Easymillionaires in SG :P That being said, some of these prices are crazy. Wonder if the market is super inflated.

>These deals accounted for 9.3% of the month’s resale volume, up from 201 transactions in August.

Almost 10% of volume being 1m is... great for owners but makes you want to tear your hair out as a "yet to buy-er".

So for discussion. People say property is a good investment. But is it only for the fist 1 maybe 2 buyers? Or true till the end (or maybe past the 49 or 50 yea mark).

I believe it to be true as long as people see it has lifetime or easily sellable. But would love to hear you guys thoughts

Best budget manuals...

Manuals are really expensive in SG. If they are cheap to buy, they are either vintage and/or a pain to maintain.

Someone ask, what I would recommend a new manual licence person to buy and that got me thinking...

I can only think of these
Best all round - Swift Sport ZC31s (13-14k depre + loads of parts and fun to drive)
Runner up - Honda Jazz/Fit (Same as swift but less agressive)
Best budget - Hyundai Avante (9-10k depre - Simple and really cheap to own and maintain)

Honorable mentions
- Lancers 1.6 GLX
- Kia Cerato

Do you guys have any others you would recommend?

And if you are not from Singapore, what is the go to manual from where you are from? Make us jealous by putting the price down as well!

A dive into SG drivers honkology…

TLDR: why need to hold down the horn for extended period of time?

So a p plater here! So a while back, got honk blasted (horn held down for seconds) on when turning, got flustered and turned too much and hit the rim on the kerb.

Yes. Hitting the kerb is my fault. Should have managed emotion better. But I had to slow down to make the turn and I believe the speed was not wrong, if fact a little too fast :)

But the bigger question is… when has holding down the horn for a long while ever helped anyone? Is it to express feelings and irritation? Or just transfer

SMH.

Any idea why this might help the honkers? Or why so many people do this? Really want to understand the multi second honks
