Bali destination wedding

Hi everyone!

My partner and I are considering getting married in Bali in 2027 and I’d love some honest advice from people who have done it recently.

We’re trying to work out whether our budget is realistic or if we’re completely dreaming 😅

Our rough plan would be:
- 70–80 guests
- Food included
- Free flowing drinks/alcohol package
- Accommodation for bride & groom included
- Beautiful reception/ceremony setup (doesn’t need to be ultra luxury, but still want it to feel really special)
- Photographer/video ideally included in overall budget if possible
- Open to villas, resorts, cliffside venues etc.

Our ideal budget would be around AUD $15k–20k total.

Is this actually achievable in Bali nowadays? Or would we realistically need a much bigger budget for that guest count?

Would also LOVE:
- venue recommendations
- planners you loved
- hidden costs people didn’t expect
- whether most guests actually came
- whether you used Bali vendors or brought Australian vendors over
- best months/weather

Would really appreciate honest advice from anyone who’s done a Bali wedding recently 🤍

Wedding venues

Looking for wedding venue recommendations around Brisbane / Gold Coast / Scenic Rim / Northern NSW 🤍

We’re planning a wedding for around 100 guests and are looking for a venue that feels beautiful and well set-up (not full DIY), but with flexibility to bring in our own catering and alcohol to help keep costs reasonable.

We love the idea of a fun party atmosphere and possibly even a weekend-style wedding, but we’re also mindful of guest costs and accommodation logistics.

Ideally looking for:
• Ceremony + reception onsite
• BYO alcohol or low/no corkage
• External catering allowed or flexible catering options
• Accommodation nearby or onsite
• Modern / romantic / garden / hinterland vibes
• Guest-friendly and not overly complicated logistically

Would love to hear venues you loved or looked at ✨
