Has anyone used the steam deck to record multitracks for shows?

Some filter keeps stopping me from posting so I’ll just say my laptop is dying. I can’t afford a new one. I have a steam deck already and know reaper can run on it. Has this worked well? Sorry my bluntness the filter is literally not letting me word it any other way. A lot of my jobs require me to multitrack bands and events. I just wanna make sure I can feel safe with it

You guys ever lose interest in making music?

Idk if this is the place to post this. I haven’t really been making music for almost 2 weeks. I have my rig ready to go and available at all times. I tried picking it back up today and gave up almost immediately. I just feel like I don’t have any motivation at the moment. Sucks because I want to make some cool shit but man it sucks when I can’t follow through with cool ideas or even try to make cool stuff. Feels like if I don’t try I’ll just stop forever (realistically a year) but trying is also a chore. Anyone else get this?

How are you guys producing music?

The MKII hasn’t really been inspiring me lately. I’m just wondering how you guys produce on the thing? I’ve been using it as a breakbeat machine but it’s a pain in the ass. Hoping to gain to some inspiration from how you pros are using this machine! What genre, for that’s specific purpose, etc

Help matching bpm with breakbeats

Hello so I want to use my sp404mkii as a dedicated drum machine that will be sequenced from a push 3. I was on the fence on selling it for an octatrack or something but wanted to see how far I can take it. I having trouble getting the imported sample to follow any sort of consistency BPM wise. It makes it really hard for it to accurately follow what’s going on with the push. I’m mainly trying to produce jungle on it. Even with the bpm match things don’t line up exactly. It’s more of an ear game than anything else. Is there any way to combat this?

Thinking about selling sp404mkii

So I’ve had the sp404mkii for about 2 months now. I do enjoy its effects but I feel I always reach for ableton for its ease of use and routing. I had my little lo fi hip hop phase with which was cool but anything else feels like a chore compared to using ableton and my outboard synth. I wanted to eventually use it as a dedicated drum/breakbeat machine but I haven’t found a way to sync up breaks like I can in simpler. Push 3 just takes the cake for me. I wanted to love it so bad but I think I might just part ways with it and buy another dreadbox synth. Anyone have any thoughts? Maybe I’m seeing it wrong? Dedicated FX box is the last thing I want to use this beast for

Finally got my new synth integrated with my setup! So excited

I bought a dreadbox nymphes last week and have spent countless hours trying to integrate it with my push 3 controller and sp404. It is my first synth in a while. Had a mother 32 and sold it. Have never used CC controls before so that was pretty fun. Now I have all the nymphes secondary page controls just on the push. Pretty happy about how all this turned out. Pretty simple but big milestone for me. Just wanted to share a jam! Chord stabs are the nymphes btw

Help choosing elektron box

Hello so at the moment I have a Push 3 controller and Sp404MKii. I’m mostly in the daw for ease of use but I do really love not having to click around for stuff when it comes to push and the sp. I’ve been eyeing a few products of theirs. Primarily the analog rytm mkii and the digitone. I’ve seen tons of great things from these and I feel like these would make sense with my setup. Question is with my current gear, which one would make the most sense? I love their sequencers and sounds. Have never used one but I have been watching so many videos I’m very interested

Thinking about selling sp404

So I’ve had a push 3 for a bit and got an sp404mkii maybe 2 months after. The reason why is because someone made an effects rack that mimics the sp404 effects and it was so much fun to play with. I did also want to play some lofi stuff. Now that I’ve had the sp for a while I feel like it isn’t as worth it to keep anymore in my setup and was thinking about selling is to save up for an elektron heat +fx. I use the push 3 controller and have access to goodhertz lofi goodness. While I do love the effects and performance aspect, I feel it doesn’t mesh too well for the 350 I payed for it (used). I do use it in my bedroom a lot when I’m bored or as an effects send for ableton. The UI is very annoying to get ideas down and arrange or just jam compared to push. Not sure if this is the end of the line with the thing or if I should just try a bit longer. I do the enjoy benefits of the FX but I feel as if I don’t utilize the whole point of the machine

Hello I’m very new to owning a cat. I’ve had him for a little over a month. Every morning around 7am he CRIES bloody murder wanting to go outside. He has food and water so it’s not that. It’s frustrating because I work very late and would appreciate sleeping in. I don’t know what to do. I’m trying to get him more things for him to play with inside but he just gets bored of them. I’m at a loss here and would appreciate some feedback

I’m new to the sp404. Less than a week of experience. I try to chop up some breakbeats but it’s never on time. I dislike bpm sync bc it pitches up. Bpm management is so difficult. Do you guys have any tips?
