Hi everyone! I’m from the Philippines and I do freelance work where I get paid in USD through Wise.

Since I only earn relatively small amounts from freelancing, I’m looking for a good USD savings account where I can safely keep my earnings instead of leaving everything in Wise.

My main goal is actually to save the USD for future travel, so I’d prefer to keep it in USD rather than constantly converting it to PHP.

Ideally, I’m looking for a bank/account with:
- Minimal or no fees
- Low maintaining balance
- Good USD interest rate
- Time deposit option
- Easy transfers to/from Wise
- Deposit insurance or good security
- The option to invest the money eventually (if the bank offers this)

I mainly want somewhere safe to park my USD, earn a little interest, and possibly grow it over time.

For those who also receive USD from freelance/remote work, what bank or account do you recommend, and what has your experience been like?

Would also appreciate any advice on whether it’s better to keep the money in USD or convert some of it to PHP and invest locally.

I just finished my intro freediving session and I’m realizing I’m more of a panic/overthink type in the water (i get anxious and i cannot equalize).

Before I move forward, I wanted to ask:

How many pool/confined sessions did you need before open water?

Hi! Had intro to freediving recently and beginner pa lang ako. Medyo panic swimmer din 😅

May alam ba kayong shallow spots sa Bohol na beginner-friendly? Yung calm yung water, hindi agad malalim, and okay for someone na kinakabahan pa sa ilalim.

Gusto ko sana mag practice slowly and build confidence muna before going deeper. Any recommendations or tips would really help. Thanks!

Nag intro to freediving ako kahapon pero nahirapan ako mag equalize. Ginagawa ko yung Valsalva technique pero ayaw mag equalize ng ears ko.

Normal lang ba ’to for beginners? Any tips para mas maging okay yung equalization?
