Hello everyone! I really need some advice from people living in Bangalore.
Why is the rent here so incredibly high? 😶 I’m moving to Bangalore from another city for college, and since the college hostel is completely full, I've been looking for a PG. I am in shock—the prices are around 18k to 21k just for a 3-sharing room! 🫡 That is way too much for me, yet so many people are paying it without a second thought. Lucky rich kids!
At first, I thought I'd just bite the bullet, book one of those rooms, and find a part-time job so I wouldn't have to burden my family for money. But finding a part-time job is not easy at all. When I talked to my friends and told them I’d even be willing to work at a cafe, they gave me that look—you know, the judgmental look that says, "Wait, you'd actually work in a cafe?" 😶
Now I'm thinking about renting a flat instead, but the rent and deposits are just as crazy. Back in my hometown, rents start at 3k! I seriously wish I was rich. 🤧
Does anyone have tips on finding more affordable areas or cheaper options near colleges? Any advice would be a lifesaver! Mount carmel college

Preferred areas within walking distance of Mount Carmel College:
• Vasanth Nagar
• Cunningham Road
• Palace Road
• Seshadripuram
• Shivaji Nagar
If anyone has vacancies, PG recommendations, or is also looking for a roommate, please DM me. Thank you!
Hi everyone,
I’m a college student urgently looking for a part-time work-from-home job. I’ve been trying for a while but haven’t been able to find anything reliable yet.
Right now, I really need to earn to help pay my college fees and manage basic expenses. I’m not expecting a high salary—even something around ₹7k/month would genuinely help me a lot at this stage.
From BA background
I’m a quick learner, sincere, and ready to put in consistent effort.
If anyone has any genuine leads, remote work, or even advice on where to apply, please comment. It would mean a lot.
Thank you for reading.
