Electric bill high

We live in Colfax outside of Eau Claire (dunn county) in a one bedroom apartment. This is the first bill they sent to us and it seems insane we haven’t hardly used the a/c due to the time of year and the we try to be good about the lights. I haven’t dealt with electric companies before, this is my first time on my own. Any ideas why its so high would be great

any tips on how to play the intro to Aerials — system of a down

Im struggling to properly mute and I keep drowning out the other strings as I play. I know to like palm mute and utilize your hand but im struggling to understand how to at the speed of the intro while getting a clean sound. I already know I need to practice I just want to make sure it’s right since the videos arnt very in depth on this particular part.
