Use a ladle for your tots

All I can imagine trying to lift the insert out with a fork like it shows in the directions is tots all over the floor. Today the closest clean thing was a ladle and it was a winner.

I've got a tiny kitchen that isn't always the cleanest at the end of the day (as you can see). So in theory setting down the lid and getting oven mits and pouring the tots onto a plate would probably be easiest. That isn't always an option though. The ladle worked much better than a spatula or tongs - more tots per scoop.

I'm not long for this world

Well friends, it's been nice being part of this sub. I'm about to go trim nails AND treat for potential mites. I don't expect to return. I'll be bringing romaine and treats as an offering. I don't think it will be enough.

Sweet satisfaction on a Friday. Completed my most complex section 508 compliant fillable form to date. I've learned a lot. I started with a clean InDesign document so it was more time consuming than hard.

I know this isn't the flashy design work others are doing. Heck, tedious stuff like this is why I changed my major from graphic design to recreation management 20 years ago. I've ended up doing design work as part of many jobs and I'm proud of the skills I've grown.

A picture of a computer screen with a PDF document on the screen. The accessibility tags panel is open on the right of the screen. All the text in the middle of the screen has pink bounding boxes around it. There is an orange, pink, and brown rubber stegosaurus on the desk in front of the screen.

Got these at the end of March. Quarantined in a clear plastic tote. Wiped them down with alcohol. It was nice out so I was moving the tote outside during the day in a spot with morning sun and afternoon shade.

The Epiphyllum guatamalense f. monstrose really took a turn for the worse. Leaves started turning black. I suspected root rot so I tore the whole thing out of the nursery pot. Pulled it apart, repotted the parts in a chunky potting mix. It just keeps getting worse. Even with the lid off the tote for over a week the ends are still getting black and growing fuzzy mold on the ends. I took two of the best looking pieces and stuck them in a prop box. All seemed well with them, and then I noticed fuzzy mold growing on the end of one of those too. I've been keeping the prop box open for air circulation. This little piece in water seems to be hanging on the best.

I'm hoping the Selenicereus anthonyanus (?) is just sun damaged? And got overwatered while it was in the tote since it wasn't drying totally?

I'm frustrated because I have an Epiphyllum anguliger that I I got as a prop a few years ago and it's so happy. Constantly putting out new growth (though never flowered for me). And various Schlumbergera that bloom on schedule, sometimes twice a winter. I was feeling pretty confident with epiphyllum. I got an Epiphyllum oxypetalum this winter. I can't find any place where is happy in my house. It's currently in nearly identical conditions to the anguliger and just barely hanging on. Then I get these two and disaster!!!

For reference I'm in central Wyoming where is arid and sunny.
