A unique marketing approach

I published my first book in August. It is selling, mostly to people I know or are 1-2 degrees away in separation. I have gained around 10, 5 star reviews, again, from my extended circle. Recently I decided to send copies of the book directly to individuals who, if they chose to do so, might endorse my book. This potential endorsement would change everything for my little project. My book is about a young man from the 1980's who discovers the sport of wrestling, develops a close mentorship with a coach, and falls in love with a girl. My book is a typical coming of age novel set in the 1980's. I am not going to mention the name of the book, because I do not want to violate the rules, and I really enjoy this sub-reddit. However, I will tell you who I have decided to mail copies of the book. As many college and high school wrestling coaches are about to receive a little package from yours truly. I marked each as a gift and was able to include a personalized note.

My wife told me...

we were going to attend a turn of the century Murder Mystery Party this weekend. I told her, "No need to attend. I would rather kill myself." Mystery solved.

Atticus is better than french fires.(Not Sponsored)

I was going to old faithful(5'er) to get help with my first book. I spent way too much scratch and it resulted in error and work that was sub par-ish. I read about Atticus and watched a few vides before biting the bullet and learning how to do it myself. It is incredible software and allows rank amateurs like myself to really DIY your book. It's worth every cent. I paid 15,700 cents for the product. Worth it.

First Pre-Order

I got my first pre-order on KDP. I wrote my first novel, and like many, I HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WAS DOING; especially when it had to do with format! I promoted the book back in my hometown's newspaper by reaching out to them and telling them the book takes place in the town. Someone contacted me and did an interview(lucky). Anyway, rambling a bit, but it feels pretty damn good to get that one click. Thanks for reading.

Ed's next Daughter Tag

I have always enjoyed the live version of both Betterman and Daughter when Ed adds a tag. I would like to hear a tag of "Messy" by Lola Young...

'Cause I'm too messy, and then I'm too fucking clean
You told me, "Get a job", then you ask where the hell I've been
And I'm too perfect 'til I open my big mouth
I want to be me, is that not allowed?
And I'm too clever and then I'm too fucking dumb
You hate it when I cry unless it's that time of the month
And I'm too perfect 'til I show you that I'm not
A thousand people I could be for you and you hate the fucking lot

My Dog Flew Very Close to the Sun (300 mg's of THC Gummies)

Not proud of this, but thought we would share our experience. Hopefully it helps anyone out there who accidentally goes through this TERRIBLE experience.

6:00PM Guest arrives for the weekend and places luggage on floor. Luggage contained package of 10 x 30mg gummies. Dog(28 lb beagle) found package, took under bed, consumed ENTIRE package.

6:30PM Dog begins to display signs of "not being right". Dog mom says, "OMG, I hope he didn't eat a gummy or something like that!" We then discover the empty package. We call the Emergency VET! The Vet tells us to see if the contents contain Xylitol. Luckily it did NOT. The Vet advises close observation and bringing the dog in if the dog isn't respondent. We were all VERY concerned based on the dog's strange behavior. (Twitching, stumbling, unable to walk properly, etc...).

7:00pm-7:00am I decided to hunker down with the dog in the spare bedroom for the night to monitor, pet and try to give him a sense of comfort. He was NOT GOOD. He refused water, food, and really struggled. It was incredibly difficult to watch.

8:00am-8:00pm Carried the dog outside for a little vitamin D and hopefully a pee. He was still wobbly and struggled, but there were signs of coming back down to earth. He ate from my hand and licked a little water I placed on his lips. By the 24 hour mark, he was more alert and responding normally to sound and petting.

10:00pm-present Our boy is back. He is eating, drinking a LOT of water and displaying regular behavior.

Summary: This terrible accident was heartbreaking to watch. We love our boy. We thought the worst when it first occurred. Dogs and weed DO NOT MIX. However, if this happens to you, here is my advise, 1

. Call the VET ASAP.

  1. Do what they say.

  2. If they say observe, do what what I did and show the love.

  3. Finally, from my experience, the animal will come out of this eventually. My dog is now fine and I went to the store and got him a Grateful Dead collar. End

It's NOT Trump.

He is simply the one they chose to do their bidding. He is a despicable human, no question, but he is the figurehead for the 1%. Look at their wealth during his time in office. None of this is his personal doing. The project 25 folks handed him a "to do" list and added the caveat of, "Do whatever you want while you're in there as long as the money keeps flowing in the same direction. The UFC, ballroom, gold shit, etc....that's 100% him. The elites are brilliant when it comes to accumulation of wealth; brilliant at marketing and including faith in their marketing plan. As an added bonus, we will never recover as a nation. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
