The new main event is really good

I love these kinds of events,I really enjoy them. They've done them before, and I hope they'll do them again in the future. I genuinely love them and don't understand why people complain about them.

Honestly, the fact that you have so much time to complete it is one of the reasons I find it so relaxing and enjoyable. There's no pressure to rush through everything, and you can just take your time with it.

I also really like how some characters show up during the event and you get to interact with them. It's a small thing, but it adds a lot of charm and makes the event feel more alive.

The management aspect is great too. I enjoy organizing everything and setting things up the way I want. Overall, I think it's a really fun and well designed event, and it's the kind of content I'd love to see more often.

You have an enormous amount of time to complete it,around forty days,a good amount of Primogems, and even a character and her skin. I don't see the point of complaining about having something to do during a patch. I can understand not liking it that much or it not being your type of event, but at least there's something to do.

I think it's more than good to have events, especially longer ones, that you can play through and at least have something to do during a patch.

And honestly, as much as it pains me to say it, it's better than having nothing at all. Compared to games like HSR we usually have a lot more events to play through, and at least the patch doesn't feel completely empty.

Sure, there might be fewer primo overall, but I'd still rather have something to do in the game than nothing at all. Having some extra content to play during a patch makes the game feel more alive, even if the rewards aren't amazing.

The animations goes hard

A round of applause for the developers. For once, we can genuinely see a major improvement in the animations.

I don’t even want to talk about the new area on the Moon map, which I found absolutely breathtaking to look at, or the event’s writing, which in my opinion was very light, engaging, and easy to follow. Instead, I want to focus specifically on the animations and the way the characters move.

They finally feel alive, with clear and expressive emotions that are easy to read. Their movements are much more complex, involving their entire bodies rather than having them stand stiffly in one spot. There are even small cutscenes woven into the scenes. It really feels like the era of the same three animations being repeated over and over is finally over.

Thank you, truly. We could already see hints of this at the beginning of Nod-Krai, and now it seems to be becoming much more consistent. I hope this is a taste of what Snezhnaya will be like.

(The gif is just an example. I could have included more, and even better ones, but it's the only one I have)

Appreciation post for Song of the welkin moon

I know there's still one more patch left before Nod-Krai arc is over, but I wanted to make this post to show my appreciation for the entire AQ

For me, it's been one of the best arcs so far, and definitely one of the easiest to follow. It kept so many characters both old and new involved throughout the story, while also bringing long running plotlines to satisfying conclusions after all this time, like Wanderer and Collei

So many incredibly important characters appeared during this arc,for example, one of my biggest surprises was Rerir, one of Khaenri'ah's Five Sinners. I honestly never expected the story to dive into his past or reveal so much about who he was before everything happened. On top of that, we finally got more insight into what actually happened to Khaenri'ah, which is something I've been waiting for for a long time.

And then there are characters like Varka, Durin and Nicole, characters we've been waiting years to finally see. I'm honestly really happy with how they've been handled so far.

And what's really amazing is that a lot of people expected this to be the most filler region of them all. Instead, in my opinion, it turned out to be one of the most important, as well as one of the best-written regions in the game.

The map itself is honestly incredible, super beautiful to look at and really fun to explore, just like the world quests. It’s maybe a bit on the easy side when it comes to exploration, but it’s still genuinely amazing.

And the next area coming out already looks insane too. I can’t wait to explore it.

One thing that I’m a bit disappointed about in this region is that they still haven’t managed to make Alice playable. I really hope they do it as soon as possible, because she’s easily one of the characters I’m most excited for in the entire game.

I'm genuinely happy with the direction the story has taken over these last few patches, and I'm really excited to see what Snezhnaya has in store.

Just getting something off my chest

Honestly, I'm really tired and fed up with how every time I open a social media app, even just to read something, I get flooded with negativity.

Today Sandrone's animated short was released, and as soon as I woke up this morning, I watched it right away. I genuinely enjoyed it a lot. But then I went on Reddit and got overwhelmed by endless nonsense and pointless comments. I swear, after only half a day, I was already tired of opening any social media at all.

I was genuinely happy about this video because it was very sweet, with some sad moments as well, but apparently that's never enough. People always have to focus on every possible negative aspect, and many of those criticisms are completely made up, as if nobody actually reads anything related to Genshin's story or lore.

I ended up muting a lot of pages today, both ones I followed and ones I didn't, because I finally reached my limit.

And honestly, I get it,this game isn't perfect. In fact, there are plenty of issues that I also hope will be addressed. But attacking every single thing just to get views or create drama is exhausting.

I'm talking about this animated short right now, but obviously I mean this in a more general sense, especially when it comes to Genshin.

For me, it's particularly frustrating because I have a lot of friends, but none of them are interested in Genshin. As a result, I rarely get to talk about it with anyone, so I end up looking for that sense of community on social media. Unfortunately, the only thing I get from it is a growing lack of motivation to interact at all.

I know that, among gacha games, Genshin remains one of the most talked about titles, both positively and especially negatively. Sometimes it feels like people have become tired of discussing the good things and instead look for any excuse to criticize it, comparing it to everything else just to highlight its flaws.

A long time ago I made a similar post, and I know very well that this is just how the internet works. The only thing I can really do is get used to it and move on. But even so, it still hurts from time to time.

Sorry for this rant. I really felt like I needed to write it down, and a lot of it was probably influenced by how I'm feeling right now. If you've made it this far, thank you very much for reading. And sorry if I made any mistakes english isn't my first language.

The Traveler is not an empty character

I’ve seen a lot of posts about the Traveler and their personality, where some people say they have no personality at all and that they’re poorly written compared to other gacha protagonists. Now, I haven’t played many gacha games in my life, and right now I’m only playing Genshin Impact. In my opinion, people simply don’t even know how to put themselves in another person’s shoes.

The Traveler isn’t empty at all, they have a very clear sense of morality and personality. But above all, the reason why I truly appreciate them and at the same time appreciate Genshin Impact is the fact that they grow as a character. They go from simply searching for their sister/brother to discovering this world and trying to understand the reasons why their sibling ended up in that situation, eventually even admitting that Teyvat has become a sort of home to them.

People also tend to take for granted the suffering and sadness they experience, even though it’s shown very clearly in every Traveler quest, where they appear distressed and frightened by the situation, to the point of constantly feeling scared and unprepared about how to act, especially when it concerns his twin. They’re not even a hero who saves everyone indiscriminately either; they behave kindly toward those with whom they can build a genuinely positive connection, while they can also think very negatively if the conversation takes a bad turn.

But above all, something that I think many people complain about unfairly is that he isn’t the strongest protagonist ever, capable of saving everyone and stopping every threat. He’s simply the Traveler. Sure, he’s far stronger than the average person and possesses strange powers that nobody else has, but none of that makes him the strongest and that’s what makes him interesting. People genuinely respect him because he’s always there and willing to face every obstacle, becoming their trump card to achieve victory, but never the absolute strongest one. Of course, I’m not saying he’s perfect: some quests are clearly made to highlight the new character people are supposed to pull for, and that sometimes makes the Traveler seem incapable in certain situations. But at most, those are problems with the story’s writing, not with the character himself.

In short, I’m tired of seeing people complain about and mock the Traveler because, in their view, they’re a “blank” character since they don’t show “aura” or don’t constantly make jokes. Those things don’t automatically make a character better written,it just feels like they didn’t put much effort into writing them.

I know they’re not a perfect character and they do have many flaws, but it still feels unfair to constantly speak badly about them. If something is missing or you disagree, feel free to say so I’m sure I’ve forgotten to include a lot of things, and maybe I didn’t express some points as well as I could have.

Sandrone is still Sandrone

I understand the frustration too. I also preferred Pulonia over the current robot form, and even though I personally think the current colors suit her better, the original concept was better before. Still, her writing and characterization remain the same throughout.

I don’t know if anyone changed their mind after seeing her kit and decided not to pull for her anymore, which is understandable if you only liked the character because of the gameplay concept. But if people really think that changing her outfit completely erases her character and everything she did in Nod-Krai, then honestly I just can’t understand that.
