Cognizant DN 5.0 – Not shortlisted for Round 1 Technical Interview. Am I rejected?

Cognizant DN 5.0 – Not shortlisted for Round 1 Technical Interview. Am I rejected?

Hi everyone, I need some clarity regarding the Cognizant Digital Nurture 5.0 Campus Hiring 2027 process.

I completed all the previous stages:

Communication Assessment

Qualifier Technical Assessment

Deep Skilling Assessment

My track was Java FSE.

Some candidates from my college have now received the shortlist for the Technical Interview, but my name is not on the list and I did not receive any interview mail.

However, my Superset application status still shows “Applied”, not Rejected/Not Selected.

I also found the following official-looking Cognizant mail shared with the placement cell:

“This will be Round 1 of the selection process. Candidates who successfully clear the Round 1 interview will be offered GenC category and will be invited to participate in Round 2 virtual interview process towards GenC Next category hiring.”

Based on this, it looks like:

Round 1 Technical Interview → Clear it → GenC → Round 2 → Chance for GenC Next

Since I was not shortlisted for Round 1, does this basically mean I am rejected from the DN 5.0 process, or is there any possibility of:

Another Round 1 shortlist being released later?

Re-evaluation for GenC?

Receiving an offer despite not being in this current interview list?

Has anyone experienced the 2027 Cognizant DN 5.0 / GenC process or received similar communication from their placement cell?

Please share only genuine information from your placement cell/Cognizant if possible.

I'm building an Indian Options Paper Trading app. What would make you actually use it?

Hi everyone,

I'm a computer science student building a mobile-first paper trading app for Indian options traders, and before I spend months adding more features, I'd love some honest feedback from people who actually trade.

The goal isn't to clone existing apps. I want to build something that's useful enough that traders keep coming back every day.

Current features

  • Live NIFTY & BANKNIFTY option chain
  • Paper trading with virtual money
  • Live P&L
  • Portfolio, positions & orders
  • Watchlist
  • AI trade reviews after every completed trade
  • Automatic trading journal
  • Daily missions, XP, streaks & achievements
  • Leaderboards
  • Shareable trade cards

I'm intentionally not adding backtesting right now because I'm building that as a separate project.

I have a few questions:

  1. What frustrates you the most about current paper trading apps?
  2. What's one feature that would make you switch from your current app?
  3. Would AI feedback after each trade actually help you improve, or is it just a gimmick?
  4. If this app was genuinely useful, what would you consider a fair monthly price (if any)?
  5. What's one feature you wish every options paper trading app had?

I'm looking for brutal, honest feedback—even if it means changing the direction of the app. I'd rather build something traders genuinely love than just release another paper trading app.

Thanks in advance!

Building a free paper trading platform for NIFTY 50 options – what features would you want?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently building a platform focused on NIFTY 50 options paper trading and strategy backtesting, inspired by platforms like StockMock and Opstra.

The goal is to let traders:

Paper trade NIFTY 50 options with realistic execution.

Backtest option strategies on historical data.

Analyze strategy performance with detailed metrics.

Replay past market sessions and practice trading.

Test different adjustments and risk management techniques before using real money.

I'm trying to make it useful for beginners as well as experienced option traders.

I'd love to know:

What features do you think are missing in existing platforms like StockMock or Opstra?

What frustrates you the most when paper trading or backtesting?

If you could add one feature to your ideal options simulator, what would it be?

I'm building this based on community feedback, so every suggestion is appreciated.

Thanks!
