This is not my kitchen but the cabinetry spacing is similar. I am doing 1.5" mitered edges. I have a paneled fridge that sits proud of the adjacent cabinet doors about 0.25" similar to what is seen here. I told my cabinet guy I wanted the countertops to overhang 0.75" from the cabinet doors but I just noticed that he installed the fridge cabinet only 0.25" proud of the doors. So if I go with a 0.75" overhang the countertops will go past the the face of the fridge about 0.5" which I think will look weird. It would also mean the mitered edge will be unfinished when viewed from the side unless they add a piece to the side which would encroach into the fridge's door opening since the fridge side panel is only 0.75" thick like seen in this pic. I could just make the counter tops flush with the fridge panel (like in the pic) and it would only be a 0.25" overhang but I'm afraid that would be too little of an overhang.
What are my options, if any? I don't even know if this is possible but can you cut a notch so so that they could add a side piece of stone and make the view from the side look finished without encroaching into the fridge door opening? But in your opinions, do you think having a counter that juts out past the fridge panel looks weird?
I have a Vent A Hood vent liner insert. The way you install it is you put a bunch of screws on the sides, front, and back of the vent hood into the hood cover from the inside.
I am just worried if MDF is strong enough to hold the hood with screws. The back of the cover is plywood and screwed into studs but the front and sides is made of MDF.
