Hoka suitable as daily year-round shoe

I have back problems and a physical therapist recommended getting hokas so I am trying to sort out what model would fit my needs.

I am not a runner but I enjoy walking, probably does more of that than the average person.
I live in northern europe where we have real winters, not arctic cold but cold, snow and ice etc.
I usually spend most winter days in sneakers without any problems.

Most of the hokas seem to have very minimal threading under the soles (=½ inch of wet snow would likely mean slip and break something), except for ones like challenger, which may have a bit too much of that for my needs.
But I happened to find those on sale and I like how they look, would it be a terrible idea to wear those as walking shoes in december? The fabric seems quite a lot thinner than your average sneaker.

Also: how is the arch support on these, it is not crucial but would be nice to have some.

Got lucky the other day

I did not particularly need more speakers but a refoamed pair of Mirsch OM 5-32 for $30 was hard to pass up.
Another swedish eclectic design with (probably unnecessary) doubled up mids and tweeters, fairly sizeable 4ohm 90watts and like their peers in the industry at the time they are meant to placed on the floor with the back up against the wall to widen the soundstage.
The upward facing tweeters does a far better job with that than I anticipated, though not on the same level as my Sonab's. The bass is very present but sort of controlled?/not the deepest and they are overall a lot more direct "in your face" than the aforementioned speakers.
They do sound very nice though and will be used whenever I feel like I need more midrange presence in whatever I'm listening to.

2 pairs of speakers, different ohms, selector switch

Currently I am running a set of 8 ohm speaker through a Technics SU600 integrated amp (new class A) but I found some interesting 4ohm speakers that I plan to connect to the rear/B set of terminals.

I will never run both sets together. There is no reason to and I can't image that would be a good idea.

The amplifier also has an impedence selector switch (Main or remote 8-16ohm/4-6 ohm) and while searching people generally seems to recommend not switching from 8, regardless of speakers. Not sure how I feel about that.

So what I want to know is how terrible of an idea is this?
