Hi! I am trying to track down my unclaimed property with the SCO and am having a hard time.

The original holder (North Lane) had sent me a letter saying that if I did not claim my property by the end of May 2026 that it would be sent to the SCO. I attempted to claim the property by returning the letter like instructed and two months later I haven't heard anything from them. As the deadline is coming up soon I finally decided to call them and try to track it down that way. After a few hours I finally got ahold of someone and they informed me that my money was already sent to the SCO.... in June 2025.... nearly an entire year before the deadline that I was given.

I have since been trying to track it down on the CA SCO unclaimed property website using their search function but have not been able to find it. I have tried calling their customer service line numerous times and have still not been able to speak to a representative. When I requested a call back rather than sit on hold, they never called me. I'm not sure where to go from here.

I guess I'm just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience either with North Lane or the SCO and how you were able to resolve it.

Any advice would be much appreciated!!
