Have I forgotten how to play?

I just can’t seem to win anymore. I’ve lost more than 100 Elo over the last few days, and I have no idea what’s going on.

Multiple 90%+ games in a row feels so good

I played chess casually for years, but only started taking it seriously a few months ago.

Since then I’ve been completely hyperfocused on studying and improving, and finally getting multiple 90%+ accuracy games in a row feels insanely rewarding.

Only 15 points away from 1000 now ♟️

Creating a chess group chat on Reddit, anyone interested?

Following up on my post about public chess boards in town, it looks like the new pocket park on Parnell Street has a couple of chess tables.

Since there seems to be a good bit of interest in chess here, I’m thinking of creating a casual chess group chat on Reddit so we can organise games and meet-ups.

Nothing too serious or competitive, just a relaxed way to meet up, play a few games, have a chat, and make use of the public chess tables. All levels welcome, including beginners.
We’d just need to bring our own pieces.

If you’re interested, comment below and I’ll add people to a Reddit group chat.

Is there anywhere in the city with public chess boards like this one?

I’ve noticed there’s a constant interest in chess in this group. People are always asking about places to play, meet-ups, and so on.

If there aren’t any, is there any way we could request this from the council?

Adding some to a public park would be really nice.
