You're lying to yourself if you say you LOVE everything that your favorite group releases

Because the truth of the matter is, even members in any given group can dislike a song chosen as their title track. Plenty of idols have said in the past that they didn’t or don’t like certain songs of theirs. Even Ryujin from ITZY said before their comeback that Motto is "completely not her style". I see too many people say things like “no skip discography” or “they never miss,” and I just find that very disingenuous. There’s no way a group with a sizable discography fully align with your taste every single release.

I feel like within any fandom, whenever there’s a comeback, most reactions tend to be positive, which is totally fine. But I often see the minority who don’t enjoy the song express their disappointment, only to be met with fans dismissing their opinion outright or calling it “wrong.” I think that’s where it gets uncomfortable.

When did GD's international reputation among K-pop fans turn so negative?

Because I swear he was pretty beloved internationally in the past. People literally crowned him as the King of K-pop. And then after the long hiatus and his return, I’m seeing a ton more negativity toward him in the international K-pop space. His recent t-shirt controversy wasn’t the trigger that suddenly changed the narrative either. I’ve been noticing this pattern long before that. I’ve also noticed that false information about him gets upvoted quite highly, while comments correcting it often get downvoted.

This is just me being curious as an observer. When and why did he become so disliked internationally?

Interesting collab given the timing of things. At least domestically, this is as big a collab can get. aespa alone can release literally anything and it’ll be Top 10 on Melon. Add GD on top of that, it’s guaranteed to hit number 1. It’s pretty much a cheat code formula haha

GD is credited as the lyricist for the track and Dem Jointz is credited under composing and arrangement. What do you guys think of the collab?
